The TRU by Hilton in Concord, NH may be the best of the reasonably priced options (but, NOT inexpensive) in Concord, NH. Clearly, the Hotel Concord is the nicest hotel in Concord, NH, but, their nightly rates are insane (for the Concord, NH market). ||First, if you read the reviews on TripAdvisor.com of the three Marriott hotels in Concord, the Residence Inn, Courtyard, and Fairfield Inn, you'll read that all three of those hotels are worn out, not very clean, and appearing like they are "not capitalized." I don't know how Marriott allows the owner and/or operator of those hotels to get away with an inferior product, like that. ||Then came the TRU by Hilton, in Concord, NH, perhaps the newest hotel in the Concord, NH hotel landscape, but, get this, it's owned and operated by the same company that owns and/or operates the three Marriott Hotels in Concord, NH. Sure enough, the TRU by Hilton Concord shows signs of wear and poor upkeep/maintenance (Really? what does it take to paint/repair damaged walls?).||The TRU by Hilton Concord has a rather neat persona. It reminds me of a slightly detuned Element (hotel) by Marriott (once Starwood), and feels a bit hip, like a "W" by Marriott (once Starwood), but, definitely more economy oriented/value engineered than "W" hotels. The TRU by Hilton Concord is hip, modern, and minimalist. The lobby is warm and inviting, and there is one of the better stocked convenience stores in the lobby, than I have found at other, similar, hotels. ||The hotel and guest rooms are clean. ||The guest rooms are very small (almost like a cabin on a cruise ship), minimally furnished (the desk is tiny!), the bathroom exudes a stall shower (no bathtub), there is a mini-refrigerator (no freezer) in the room, and a nice size, high quality TV. The floor of the room is pergo-like, no carpeting. Lighting in the room is good. Our room was quiet (despite the pergo floors). It is clear that TRU is maximizing the number of rooms in their hotels to maximize the financial return for their hotel's ownership. ||The TRU by Hilton Concord is conveniently located, just off Route 93, convenient to many Concord locations and to I-89. There is a good restaurant, T-Bones, on the same land as the TRU hotel. We did not hear any road noise from the highway. ||A buffet breakfast is included in the room rate, and features a "make your own pancakes" machine. There are an array of other breakfast items, an additional hot entree or two, Traditional (NOT INSTANT) Oatmeal (the Residence Inn Downtown/Waterfront in Portsmouth, NH should take some lessons in "oatmeal" from the TRU by Hilton Concord), industrial grade pastries, juice, and hot beverages. Breakfast is OK.||The staff at the front desk are friendly, helpful, and professional.||The gym is functional, small, and minimalist.||Parking is OK, but can be a challenge, as TRU by Hilton Concord shares a single parking lot with T-Bones, and T-Bones is a busy restaurant. Being able to walk to T-Bones for dinner, rather than having to get into the car, was a nice feature.||I gave TRU by Hilton Concord four TripAdvisor stars, that's a bit of a stretch, but, I'm feeling kind, and grateful to the Front Desk staff for...

Read moreThis is a new hotel to the Concord area. It was redone & opened about 2 years ago. This is our first time staying here & in a hotel since Covid. I am EXTREMELY impressed all around. When you enter the staff was very polite and pleasant, Alec checked us in upon our arrival. There are Lysol wipes stands in numerous locations in the lobby to wipe down areas before and after you are done along with sanitizer stations. When we got to our room there is a seal on the door showing it has been cleaned and noone has entered once the seal is in place. The room is very comfortable and clean. I was very happy to see flooring as opposed to carpeting in the room, another reassurance of being extra clean. The bed is very comfortable as are the sheets. The one thing I had mixed feelings about is the toiletries. I think it's a great idea to have the refillable pumps like on the cruise ships, but I will miss the individual ones because I always collect them to donate to a shelter in my area. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate is available in the lobby all the time, as well as a small food selection to purchase from. Breakfast you fill out a slip the night before & pick it up in the morning, very simple choices but again great precautions taken to keep everyone safe. I would definitely stay here again and will look for their locations on trip in the future. 👍👍👍
We are still staying here and I would like to add they have added a self contained pancake maker that is out of this world. So nice to have pancakes...
