I was cyber-stalked 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant. My boyfriend and I stopped at Mi Jalisco in Corbin on our way back to Lexington. I used my credit card to pay for our meal, where the employee who rang us up made a lame marijuana joke after I tipped $4.20 on the bill. 15 minutes after leaving the restaurant, I got a notification for a friend request on Facebook from someone I did not know. After glancing at the information, I realized that it was from the employee who had rung up our bill at Mi Jalisco. I am not from Corbin and I did not introduce myself. HE GOT MY NAME FROM MY CREDIT CARD TO LOOK ME UP ON THE INTERNET. I was sufficiently creeped out. An employee had used my confidential credit card information to find me on the internet while he was on the clock at work. I denied the friend request and sent a message to him informing him of how inappropriate it was to use my credit card information on social media and that he should take his stalking tendencies elsewhere. About 20 minutes later, I received another friend request from him. That's when I blocked him completely and decided to contact the restaurant.

The following day, I called Mi Jalisco and requested to speak to a manager. The employee I spoke to did not speak English very well, so I agreed to call back later when another employee would be working and could translate. I called back later that evening and got in touch with the employee I needed to. However, there was still a major communication gap because no one seemed to understand why I was upset or what the issue was. At one point, when I told him the name of the employee who had contacted me, HE PUT THE STALKER EMPLOYEE ON THE PHONE. I managed to get transferred back to the original employee without the stalker employee knowing who I was, but it was terrifying. After shouting into the phone that if that employee contacted me again, I would take legal action, he seemed to understand at least that I was incredibly angry. He took my number (after assuring me no one else would have access to it) and said that his boss would contact me.

The food and service at Mi Jalisco were excellent, but my experience afterward was nothing short of nightmarish. If I do not not hear back from the manager at Mi Jalisco by tomorrow (Monday) evening, then I will not be following up with them and I will just contact the Corbin Police Department and let them investigate the severe breach in personal and financial security happening there. Hopefully this is just a case of some moronic kid with bad social skills, but it's better to be safe than sorry when your personal information...

My first time here. Sat down and immediately felt like we were sitting at the kids table. The tables are very short. Ordered a queso dip with ground beef and pico. The queso was very very watery. It seemed like we got the bottom of the bag when it came to the tortilla chips. The salsa was pretty good. The waitress might have been having a bad day because she seemed like she could not have cared much less. Girlfriend ordered a nacho supreme. The same queso coolaid was all at the bottom and made the tortilla chips soggy. I had burritos. One chicken and one beef. Other than the beef tasting weird (which could be authentic... I really don't know), the burritos tasted ok. The sweet tea has more than plenty of sugar in it. The straws stick out of the cups about a half an inch. The restaurant is well decorated. They would probably not want my business after reading this review, but they definitely have nothing to worry...

We arrived right as they opened and more people started arriving soon after. Our server was quick to take our order but it took quite a while to get our food. We noticed other tables were getting theirs before we got ours. I ordered the beef taquitos lunch, there was an odd seasoning on the meat that I couldn't place and it wasn't great. The meat was chewy and overcooked. The guacamole and pico sauce were both very tasty. My boyfriend had huevos rancheros and said they were good. We both agreed there was way too much rice on our plates. The complimentary salsa tasted like it was made from Italian tomato sauce, it had a very strong taste of oregano. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Our server was polite and friendly, everything seemed priced reasonably. I doubt we'll go back, but if we do we both agreed we would try the roasted poblano chilie...

OMG! All I can say is if you like Mexican food and your passing by this way. Make sure to stop here for a meal! Great personalized service. Attention to detail and hot tasty food. The portion size is humungous to boot. They also have the custom hand carved and painted chairs, tables and booths I have seen in about a dozen other Mexican restaurants and I know they are imported from Mexico and not exactly cheap. Place was well lit and decorated and nice casual atmosphere here. Yet another one I need to mark in my Google maps as a favorite so I might return some day to revisit. If you guys are liking my reviews, please give me a like to let me know! Thanks for coming along on another adventure on the road with Manitoba Jack!

I grew up in California around great Mexican food, currently live in Kansas City but visit Corbin for work regularly. This is the best of the three Mexican restaurants in Corbin. All of them are good but this place just has more flavor, better portions and better presentation. I got the carne asada burrito and it was full of thin cut steak, with a balance of beans and covered in a great white cheese sauce (not a sauce I have had before) the rice was a light yellow compared to the traditional red Mexican rice and a great helping of lettuce guacamole and pico de gio. Staff was friendly, and attentive and the food came out quickly and piping hot. (food that comes warm is a pet peve of mine)

We stopped here on our way back to Michigan and it was wonderful! Service was quick and friendly. We all had various dishes with chicken, and they were outstanding - great flavor! I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants in the Detroit area, in the Southwest US, and even been to Mexico, and I think this restaurant has the best tasting queso I’ve had (which is more of an American thing!). The bathrooms were clean and nice, too! Definitely a good stop!
