I enjoy the park at least once a week. The park is always kept very nice. The gardens are great. The people that use the park are a very dirverce crowd. In the six years I have lived in C.B. I have not seen any trouble at the park. That says a lot about the folks of C.B. However I have noticed a decline in Christmas Dercarations. That is sad because The park brings folks to town. They may decide to eat or just have coffee. That brings money. Gets folks to thinking there is more to C.B than casinos. I would think C.B would go over the top to make Bayliss a must see destination. That would bring more businesses. And help the city to prosper. C.B could grab a lot of business from Omaha. The old market supports many different stores. C.B could do the same. C.B has a great small town feel. Omaha has defiantly a big city look and trouble. I don't think I'm the first to have this...

It is very manicured and landscaped with well taken care of beds of flowers, an interesting fountain sculpture and another sculpture, a spray pad, some nice statues, benches for resting, a memorial wall of service men and women, just the right amount of well grown trees and a new addition I had noticed since last time I had been there are the groups of transient and the homeless. I'm not sure if they just hang out there during the day or if they also sleep there at night but they seemed harmless and respectful enough to at least not be bothering anyone else there simply enjoying the park. I rated 3 stars due to the newest...
Read moreBayliss Park is just south of old downtown Council Bluffs, IA. Beautifully decorated at Christmas time, flowers in the spring, summer and fall. There is enough room to throw around a Frisbee or a ball. There is also a children's fountain next to the big fountain with a button for them to push in the summertime that sprays water up for the kids to run through and play in, they love it! It's a great place to sit and read a book, relax, have a picnic lunch or just watch people. I enjoy Bayliss Park throughout the year. The fountain was off and they did not plant flowers in 2020 due to the Coronavirus, hopefully 2021...
