The worst experience of my life trying to spend the night somewhere. It is a motel so I was not expecting much. I arrived at approximately 6:30p on a Thursday evening and rang the doorbell for the office with no answer, called the phone number, no answer. Sent a text message, no answer. No management on site. After leaving the facility to find a bite to eat I received a text message back approximately 30 minutes later. The text included a room number and a code to get in the room. I showered, slept, and went back to work the next morning. Friday- After working a 13 hour shift, I went back to the motel and could not get into my room. I spent approximately an hour and a half texting and calling the owner/manager with no response or answer. I made a video of trying to get in the room and the code not working. Nobody was in the office. I went to Dollar Tree to buy a couple of essentials because all of my belongings were locked in the room. I was luckily able to sleep in an empty room at work that night. I assumed I would wake up Saturday morning to a response for management, but that was not the case. I continued trying to call and text on Saturday with no response or answer. I went back to the motel and tried again to get into my room without success then called the police. I spoke with dispatch and she said an officer would call me back. I sat down outside the room to wait for a phone call. A few other renters approached me and one of them threatened to burn my place down and accuse me of taking her cat. The people that approached me were very obviously on drugs and/or severely mentally ill. As soon as I was able, I left and waited for the place to call me back elsewhere. The police did contact me and we’re able to get me into the room to gather my things, they stayed there until I loaded my things and left because I did not feel safe. I have requested a refund multiple times from the owner, my bank has called the owner and he very rudely told them that he is not at fault and will not refund my money. I am in the process of taking further...
Read moreWe made a reservation on May 4, 2025, for May 23 and 24th. An email with an invoice was sent and I paid that on May 5th. Our plans changed and we were unable to make the trip from Nebraska, so I called them and cancelled the room on May 19 - speaking with the owner. He supposedly wasn't there at the time and would get back to me. I have emailed (3 times as well as texting twice to see when I could expect the refund. Tonight, I called and spoke with the owner again (who wasn't there again) who asked me to send a text the next morning so he could check into this but upon further questioning, stated that they normally do not give a refund. I was not informed of this at any time during the making or canceling of the reservation and informed him of this. After my text tomorrow, he supposedly will check into it.||We have stayed at this motel every 4-6 weeks for five years and at least two times a year for the last 7 years when we have made trips to MN when they were under previous owners. The previous owners were wonderful - this one will not be in business long if this is how they conduct their business. I know we will not be staying there again. The Super 8 across the street will now have...
Read moreYes, older motel but well kept up. Small rooms with fridge, microwave, TV, and pretty fast WiFi.....as for the commenter who said the owner wouldn't give her the WIFI password....the password is in BOLD CAPITAL LETTERS ON THE FRONT COVER of INFORMATION BOOKLET on top of the desk. I don't believe her comment, I found the owners friendly and easy to get along with. The biggest thing about this motel...the most important thing to us....SUPER CLEAN. We stay in lots of different hotels, and never find them this clean no matter how much we pay for them....and this motel had everything we want in a room for a VERY LOW PRICE. We have already booked a room for our next trip here...
