Still here at the moment, having checked in just an hour ago.

Read moreI'll start with the good. The staff and the service they provided were excellent, especially the young man who checked us in and who came to the room regarding our issues. He demonstrated that he cared about us and he paid attention to the issues raised. The beds were very comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. Also we liked the sound of the stream that runs beside the hotel. Lastly, the breakfast was quite good including decent coffee and a waffle maker. The bad: The carpet in the room had quite a bit of debris in areas that aren't often vacuumed (under the easy chair and behind the bedstand. That wouldn't have been too bad - who would normally notice? However my mom walked around the room in her bare feet after taking a shower and in a very short time she noticed the bottom of her feet were completely soiled. Additionally, the dresser had pieces of tortilla chips in 2 of the drawers. The absolute only complaint I had is an ownership issue: the carpets were stained, and I thought Wyndham would have recognized they need replacing. But Sandy made us comfortable, including - and this was just so phenomenal! - getting our TV working when she showed us (EARLY) the room. Set the AC and made sure the TV was back to its hotel settings (versus possible previous guest streaming). Beds were great, pillows were great; we travel frugally so had our own coffee maker and pods, but there was coffee in the lobby, and bagels, waffles, cereal, oatmeal... Really easy to like. And the property has the sweetest location with a sizeable creek that winds around the side and back... far enough away to not be scary, close enough to walk over to and watch water rush over rocks as it races down the mountain. Wyndham needs to fix the driveway and the carpets. Sandy was good for everything else! ...
