Travel Inn — Hotel in Delaware

We stayed here Oct. 2017 with our two dogs and in town for the dog show. It's off a main highway and not exactly easy to get to. If you miss the turn, it's a pain to turn around and get back in. ||||Check-in was easy and quick. We had a 1-King room on the back side of the property. It was quiet for the most part even being on a main highway. There was adequate grass to walk the dogs. ||||The room was decent size and the fridge and microwave added to a budget hotel was a good touch. The room was clean enough for a budget hotel, nothing fancy. The bedding was clean and the blankets were enough to stay warm. The heat worked fine and kept the room at a good temperature. There was enough storage space for two people between the drawers and the hanger space. No issues with WIFI and the big desk came in handy for working on the laptop.||||Bathroom was split between sink and toilet which came in handy. There was enough counter space for all our items. Bathroom was clean enough with clean towels. They weren't huge, but they did the job. ||||There's nothing really walking distance to the hotel, so you have to drive a few for food and shopping. No real issues, we'd stay here again for a few...

So I was driving home from work and my car gets totally messed up when I got nailed by a deer not drivalble at all. I pull into the parking lot shared by the warehouse restraunt and this place. So we go into the restraunt thinking they would help us. And they said the area we were in was owned by the travel inn. So I go in there ring the bell no answer knock on the door no answer. So we call and ask if it is ok to keep the car there till we can get it picked up. Well the lady we talked to was rude and told us you can either pay 10 dollars a day till its picked up or they will have it towed tonight at our expense. And the car is not drivable thank god the people at the warehouse were nice enough to let us put it on there property till we can take it somewhere to get repairs done. This place however is a bunch of rude and inconsiderate people who wont help you out...

I booked this hotel for the eclipse on April 8. I reserved Sunday. Everything was perfect. Room was clean! Walls were thin but that's not unexpected in this level of a motel. Sometimes these motels can attract customers that are not always respectful but that was not at all the case. It was such a great experience for me and my Husky that I booked Monday night as well. They referenced her high shedding and needed to charge me another $10 for her shedding. I understand that and actually, if someone is willing to clean up the hair in my house for $10 - please contact me! ;) Highly recommend - especially if you're having a hard time finding a pet friendly...
