The Victorian Guesthouse — Hotel in Delphos

I don’t write reviews, but I will give credit where it's due. The Victorian guest house truly deserves high praise.

I'm a frequent guest at the House, visiting several times a month over the past few years. I would stay in hotels when I first came to this area of Ohio, but I got tired of it and am glad I found this.

The owner, Don, has put a lot of time, energy, and resources into making this a great place to stay. Don and the staff take good care of the guest house and strive to ensure a positive experience for everyone who stays there.

The highlights: The rooms are comfortable and well-maintained. Everything is kept very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped. The house has a unique charm and character. Most rooms have their own bathrooms, which I prefer, but the ones with shared bathrooms are are fine and I don't mind those if the others are booked.

Other things worth noting: There are a few dining options in Delphos, but most are closed on Sundays and Mondays. On warm summer evenings, spending time on the porch with a drink and good conversation is a great way to unwind. I often take morning walks - Delphos is good and safe. The people here are friendly and caring. The house is located within walking distance of St. John’s Church and other Delphos attractions.

I don't have any criticisms, but if I did, I would address them directly with Don, who I'm sure would handle them.

My husband and I stayed at The Victorian Guesthouse for the first time with a great group of friends and we will be back. Our group enjoyed relaxing and catching up on the beautiful porch. Knowing the owner Don, I can see his extensive experience with real estate and world travel in every detail. The communication from the time of booking through departure was clear. Every detail has been considered for guest safety and comfort. Some small details I noticed were the night light in the bathroom, a lighted switch in the dining room, light over entry door, light up keyless entry pads, The Kuerig coffee maker reservoir was always magically filled. There were professionally printed labels throughout & large easy to read product labels. Even the toilet paper was high class. I believe Don and his kind, polite staff want each guest to have all of the amenities and comforts available. The home was so clean, beautiful and very affordable. We stayed here again this week. We came for a funeral of a dear friend. All of our comments from last time still hold true. This is so beautiful and quiet. Beds are very comfortable. The kitchen and coffee bar are just perfect.

This Victorian Guesthouse is wonderful. It has been restored so beautifully. The rooms are a good size and the whole house is very comfortable. It is nice to have access to the kitchen as well as the whole house. The check in and check out procedure is done very professionally. Digital locks for the front door as well as the rooms makes everything so secure. Communications with the host was wonderful. Everything from the basic rules for our stay, check out procedure, and just his simply following up with us to make sure that everything met and exceeded our expectations was just awesome.
