The short version is this is a remodeled motel where you can keep your dogs with you. Unfortunately the owner (who also runs the place) seems like she doesn't really like people or dogs. We felt unwelcome from the moment we got there.
Edit: regarding other reviews that said they had pleasant check-in, etc... I'm not sure if she is not always like that and was having an exceptionally bad few days or personally disliked us for some reason, but she was easily the worst part of the stay, from the moment we arrived. I just felt that needed to be said.
Longer Version:
The place itself is nice enough, unless you're expecting an inn, or a spa-like place (both of which are advertised). Everything was clean and there was a large area in the back for the dogs - the only problem is there's only a 2 foot fence, so dogs could jump over and get out if they wanted (and it is next to a road with a decent amount of traffic). My dog isn't a jumper/digger/runner so I wasn't worried but others might need to.
There are other amenities like a full kitchen, grill, and fire pit outside that would have been very nice, but guests aren't allowed to use them. Walls were very thin and you could hear folks walking and talking, and amplifies the sound of wind - there was moderate wind the last night, but sounded like a gale or hurricane outside so we really couldn't get much sleep (and I'm from FL, so I've had some practice sleeping through hurricanes). The shades don't block out much light, so sleeping past dawn is difficult, even with the comfortable beds and pillows.
Overall, it is a nice looking place with great views, but it never felt welcoming nor relaxing. It was priced lower than others in the area, but if we had stayed someplace else the weekend would have been more enjoyable. I'm glad my stay is over, and I would never choose to stay...
Read moreNot as nice as in the photos, but it's small and not crowded if that's what you're looking for. I was expecting something intimate and cozy. It wasn't. The surrounding area is really sketchy. My room had a really strong smell of cleaning chemicals. Usually that's not bad and it was spotless, but it was enough to really be overwhelming. I would have loved to have some rugs in my room, which had hard flooring in every area. I meditate and exercise every morning so I had to throw open a spare comforter I found in the closet to be comfortable on the floor. My room was advertised as having a kitchenette, I thought that meant having a hotplate or small stove, so I brought stuff to cook. It didn't, just a sink area and a fridge. There is a communal area with a stove but I would have preferred it in the room. Speaking of which, the Inn offers nothing in the way of snacks, drinks (not even cold water or anything) or anything for guests in the communal room area or inside your rooms. I thought that was chinzy for a hotel in this price range and size. Not even a granola bar or coffee/tea for breakfast. Also, avoid booking on the first floor. You can hear and feel every footstep from rooma upstairs. The pool and hot tub were great and there is an outside area with chairs, patio lights and a fire pit for lounging around. It was a nice reading area. Not sure I'll be back cause it's expensive and I wish it had...

Would go back just to see her! She's amazing!!! The Gift Shop is Top Notch! Kuddos to The Buyer and Owner! Variety and style is on Point!! I was impressed that off season they still had rafts to buy!!! Clothes impecable.. can't say enough .. Mabe xl sizes too.
The only thing it lacks is you don't feel any ombience...Front desk lacks being invited...needs a MAJOR overhaul and some phooophoooness. Should ask the Gift shop owner for help with the front desk. Definitely more cleanliness too. Bar lacks inviting..maybe instead of the gate to keep wanders out .. should of spent it on a bigger bar..soooo much potential there! And that band should play on Saturday as well. Guests should have green wristbands, Day Guests another color and you could of saved money on the gate and used it on the bar. Logic behind the gate and wristbands made no sense. Seems like they are comfortable "just getting by" but this place could be off the hook with just a few changes.... Over all, I loved the place and would definitely...
