Absolutely love this place! Hidden gem in Desert Hot Springs! Was invited for a weekend getaway with a group of friends. The rooms are fantastic. Great A/C, comfortable King size beds, kitchen with refrigerator, microwave. Some rooms have full-size refrigerators and stoves. Nicely decorated. Simple and tranquil. All rooms are just steps away from the MINERAL POOL! The pool itself is warm day/night since the water comes directly from the mineral well nearby. Next to the pool is a shaded patio with chairs and tables, plus lounge chairs poolside. The best part of our stay was the on-site Spa operated by lovely Kelly with Samata Wellness. An entire room devoted to spa and massage services you find anywhere else in town! It was truly an amazing and unique experience. I had the 60 min Sattva Relaxing massage. Several others in my group booked massages too. Kelly was lovely, polite, kind, and genuinely cared about your well being. Overall just a surprisingly great place. Hidden gem! Will be going again.

The description for this hotel states that it’s luxurious and breath-taking which couldn’t be farther from the truth. The paint doesn’t cover the repair work that was done on many of the walls. The shower has the original 1960’s tub and fixtures. The bathroom has a small shelf but no counter space. Unless one person is in the shower, two people don’t fit in the bathroom, and there aren’t even any tissues to be found. The windows are also original to the building. There was no fan in the bathroom, and the window didn’t work properly to open to get rid of the shower steam. The hotel could be a cute retro hotel, if there was better attention to detail, but in many ways it just feels old. There is only a phone number if you need anything. There was no sign of the owner or any other staff. The pluses of the hotel were that it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is also in a very quiet location, and the pool was very peaceful.

My husband and I had the most relaxing, restful and rejuvenating stay at Sagewater Springs. It's a very small hotel with 8 rooms arrayed around a pool and hot tub that are both fed by mineral wells. While there were other guests at the hotel, we often felt like we had the place to ourselves. My favorite part of the stay was being able to float in the heated waters and watch the stars at night. Our room had a window looking out at the mountains and we had a lovely time looking out for quail, bunnies, lizards and other desert creatures. If you're staying in Desert Hot Springs, I highly recommend staying at Sagewater. Next time I will avail myself of some of the spa treatments.

My wife and I have been traveling to the desert for over 25 years; we're from Seattle and we love the weather and ease of travel. About 12 years ago, we discovered Sagewater Spa and the peace and serenity of staying there, makes it “our place.”

From the moment I saw the white mid-century structure in the distance, with the sun gleaming off the white walls; it drew me in. Upon arrival, I’m excited at my first glimpse of the clean glistening, silky warm water.

We both feel like little kids again! We can’t wait to get our swim suits on for long soaks in their warm mineral water pool. Since Sagewater Spa does not allow day pass usage the environment stays serene, quiet and clean!

As we slip into the mineral hot springs pool, calm envelopes our bodies. Floating on my back, I can see the breathtaking views of the surrounding desert and Mt San Jacinto in the background. Whether you come to heal your body or your spirit… you’ll be able to quiet your mind here.

Sagewater Spa also has the most comfortable rooms, simple and clean, with newly updated design. Their beds with fine Frette linens feel like sleeping on a cloud. But it’s really the people that make Sagewater Spa heads and shoulders above others. The massage therapists are remarkable; Rhoni and Cris have created this ultimate oasis. Attention to every detail and their attentiveness towards each and every guest makes everyone feel special and welcome. Far and away, the Sagewater Spa is my all-time favorite hotel for any of our getaways. Also, it’s close enough to Palm Springs for a quick visit, Joshua Tree for a day of hiking or, Outlet shopping in Cabazon.

Sagewater Spa checks all of our boxes, from arrival to departure, we never want to leave this simple paradise and with convenient kitchens and BBQ grill we often never leave this oasis.

Tip: Reserve your return visit before you depart, as we do!

Signed, Well-traveled...

I just got home from a three night girls trip to Sagewater. It was the most relaxed I have felt in 5+ years and the water is the most beautiful water I've been in ever. The water temperature was perfect and I loved going back between the hot pool and the warm pool and floating on my back feeling held by the healing water. It was so dreamy to wake up, put on my swimsuit and go soak in the pool while enjoying the morning sun and a cup of tea. Then getting home after day of adventuring and soaking for an hour or two and talking with my family in the moonlight before retiring into the most comfortable King size bed. There were so many great activities to do within an hour or less of driving; like the tram up Mt. Jacinto, the art museum in Palm Springs, the street market on Thursday, hiking in Joshua Tree, night life and restaurants. It was absolutely wonderful and I want to tell everyone about this place. ||The rooms have a kitchenette with coffee, tea, a fridge and small freezer, utensils and flatware, a microwave, a toaster oven and a sink. The bathrooms are clean and shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap are provided. The wifi is strong, the beds are large and so very comfortable, there is a table for sitting and large windows with window coverings that blackout the...

Our first visit to Desert Hot Springs and were pleasantly surprised with the quiet laid back atmosphere and the soothing waters. Very intimate with only 8 rooms so often at night, we were by ourselves relaxing in the healing waters of the natural hot spring pools and stargazing. Have been to numerous hot springs before and this is the cleanest, most pure and most fresh natural geothermal fed water we ever experienced. Clean room with nicely supplied kitchenette. Really like the ability to check into the Spa and the room with only an access code. Convenient location between Joshua Tree National Forest, Coachella Preserve and Palm Springs. The only thing lacking was a dresser for clothes. There was a closet to hang clothes but had to live out of a suitcase for smaller items. Ran into the owner Scott who was VERY helpful with restaurant and hiking recommendations. Mentioned to him that all the good reliable recommendations he made should be typed up and left in each room in a laminated card so that guests who were not fortunate enough to run into him could benefit from his local knowledge. Lastly, it was a great value and feel it reasonably priced for the...
