Just wrapped up our stay at Hope Springs Resort and had a wonderful time. Just a quick little getaway for my wife and I, we took a couple days to decompress, relax, and just disconnect from our daily lives. Left our kids at home with grandpa and decided to have a little staycation. We’re residents of Palm Desert (semi-locale), but have lived all over the country and have experienced a lot of great little getaways. This hotel was perfect and we have to hand it to the owner (Todd) for not only providing a great experience, but a memorable one. The property was great. Quiet, clean, meticulously landscaped, and quite serene. The rooms were perfect, very minimalistic, clean, and just the right amount of amenities. The common grounds were beautifully kept and thoughtfully designed, a great overall aesthetic. The property was quiet overall and far enough removed from a major traffic area, not much traffic noise throughout our stay. The proximity to eateries was convenient enough to go try out some local restaurants, we ate at a few and they were all solid. One of my major compliments was to Todd and his overall engagement with us during our stay. I’m very talkative (extrovert) and enjoy talking to anyone/everyone, Todd reciprocated. The amenities in the kitchens seemed very thoughtful and recognized many dietary needs that people might require or request, plenty of dairy free and gluten free options. The fridge was beyond generous in their assortment, as well as their coffee and tea offering. The “continental” breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen, good assortment and more than enough for all the guests. Good quality in the offering as well. Plenty of snacks and treats available all day as well. These little things go a long way in my book and I sincerely appreciate it’s convenience as well. Really want to thank Todd for the considerate gift given to us upon check-in, we enjoyed it during one of our evening soaks. I treated my wife to an on-property massage with the scalp tingler and she absolutely loved it, enjoyed every second of it and said that she wished I would’ve gotten one too. Maybe next time! The pools were so relaxing, so calming, and so refreshing, all at the same time. Feel years younger and feel quite relaxed for the first time in a long time. To sum it up, we will definitely be returning in the future and will likely recommend this resort to many friends, family, and clients in the near future. Great job providing a great experience and look forward to our next visit. Keep up...
Read morePeople who have reviewed this place negatively don't quite understand what this place is. This is a hotel that pairs the experience down to the basics but done well. Yes, it's not 'fancy' but that doesn't mean it's lacking at all. The property is immaculately maintained and has style. From photos you might see the rooms may seems sparse, and they are but they are meant to be that way. Case in point, when we first arrived my girlfriend didn't like it, she commented negatively on the bare bones rooms. After 1 night she was a fan, she understood why it designed this way. The floors are fantastic for going seamlessly between the indoors and outdoors. The bed is immensely comfortable. There was thought that was put in here. The pools while not large are perfectly heated from the hot spring and wonderful for slipping into at midnight. Yes, in most ways this is more of a mid-century modern B&B rather than a hotel. The property manager is jovial and we have several great conversations. Think of her as a friendly host and guide rather than a hotel 'general manager'. She's not going to talk to you like someone would at a hotel and that's fine with me. Breakfast is delicious and light enough to allow you to go about your day without feeling stuffed. If you're looking for a 'hotel' experience this is not that but it is fantastic nonetheless. Don't get me wrong I love staying in high-end hotels but I'm a fan of this as well and will...
Read moreNancy greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. I don't know what the bad reviews are about. She was very nice on the phone and a great host! I think if you are coming here to party or stay for Coachella this is not the place for you. ||The aesthetics of this place are wonderful. Everything you need is provided for. Our room had a kitchenette, it was perfect. The bed was lovely, towels and robes are provided and top notch toiletries as well. ||People come here and don't leave the premises. I love how everyone was just lounging around in their robes, reading, getting some sun and enjoying the the hot springs. ||The hot springs. One for everyone. A really hot one that is covered (serious business), it fills in to a medium pool that is plenty warm, I thought it was just right. That pool feed in to a bigger swimming pool that is perfectly heated for a swimming pool. You can't go wrong. And they are open all night, perfect for star gazing.||This is a place to relax. Yes there is wifi but no phones or tv's if you need your Netflix.||Unplugging never felt so good. I can't wait to return.||Thank you Nancy for filling us in on the history of Hope Springs, you...
