Yorba Hotel — Hotel in Detroit

Never would stay here unless I was a nut case. I went for a job interview and the smell was atrocious. Candice had bites all over her body. Clearly you could see they were bug bites. They had the nerve to give me an interview and told me to go in the sitting room to fill out the application. I ran out the front door so fast and never looked back. This place is disgusting and beyond filthy. This is an insane asylum for the lost and downtrodden. I would rather sleep outside if I had to stay in that dump. From what I understand, the Yorba was built by the owner of the Ambassador Bridge back in the 1930s. Rumor has it that The Beatles stayed here when they played at the old Olympia Stadium in 1966. During those times it was an elegant hotel.

The decline since then has been severe. It is the last stop for these poor residents before winding up on the streets.

I know nothing about the current owner, but it's clear they are milking this establishment for everything they can before the health department shuts it...

This place needs to be closed down!! I volunteer with a group that serves residents on regular basis. There are so many code violations it's unbelieveable. I am definitley sending a email to all the local news stations and Department of Health. The owner/landlord needs to be put in jail!! This place is not fit...
