Read moreRiverside skateboard park is located amongst lots of attractions. There’s gazebos, BBQs, water fountains, a dog park, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, basketball court, play scape and even a plyometric park and bathrooms all within walking distance of the skate park. The best part is that this park has lights and electrical outlets!
The skate obstacles are set at the intermediate to advance skateboarder level. However, there’s enough smaller obstacles for beginners to learn and get comfortable with.
The park is deffinitely a plaza style but there is a bowl for those who like vert. Great flow in this park and everything a street skateboard would need to work on all kinds of tricks. Smooth concrete all over!
The lights stay on all night but you’ll probably get booted out the parking lot at 10pm. Keep to your self after hours and you may or may not be asked to leave. The choice is your if you want to gable on that.
Sometimes food vendor trucks stop by if you need something to eat other wise you can hit the Subway up the street or Johnny Noodle King (they got great noodles).

Hopefully there are plenty more places on the drawing board like this to come that can actually make a real difference for changing the city’s future. Good job Detroit and also to the sponsors that helped make this happen....
