Viento Beach Lodge — Hotel in Dorado

Pros of Viento Beach Lodge- pleasing to the eye in general, great pool area, hot tubs (not sure if they are hot) to some rooms, very nice and friendly day maintenance workers, secure, very comfortable and clean bed.

Cons- NO hot/warm water (using solar), bathroom (and all of lodge) is finished in concrete (no tile) therefore making the shower appear dirty, bathroom completely floods when showering due to no enclosure, only a standing rack and 4 hangers for clothes, no other place to put clothing, no one on site to assist with issues once the cleaning crew leaves. And let's not forget that to access the property, your room, front door and 2nd floor door......they give you a different numeric access code for each! This was frustrating. I had 4 different numeric codes to remember! Not fun.

I stayed for 2 days having to take cold showers! This was very disappointing and frankly enraged me. When I complained several times, no one did anything. They did not care. A gentleman called me back once but offered no solution. Upon checkout, I had to search for one of the maids to inquire on how to checkout. She knew I had called the number posted on the property with a complaint of no hot water. So, they knew, but did nothing! As I was leaving a couple was walking out and they to were discussing the hot water issue. Two maintenance people tried to tell me how to turn the shower knob to get at least some warm water. They also kept telling me to allow the water to run for a long time so that it could warm up. However, nothing worked. I also think it's irresponsible and horrible to waste water that way.

I will never stay there again! And I hope you do not either. $300+ spent for cold water showers- horrible. I was there due to an emergency with my mom. I would have at least appreciated a warm shower. Shame,...

Our team needed to rest for the night and with carnivals approaching it was tough finding a spot that had 5 rooms available. We were so fortunate to find Viento Beach Lodge. When you have to be buzzed in to the parking lot.. ✅ gated security at no extra cost "BONUS". Victor checked us in and is a real pleasure to have met. Once we all got situated we were excited to learn that there is a gas bbq grill available to the guests. We quickly went to the local supermarket and picked up a few items. We had worked a really long day- we were famished and tired. We had a wonderful time sharing drinks and a quick BBQ after a long day. When the propane tank ran dry- Victor came in clutch. Even though it was late at night, Victor went out and refilled the tank for us. We were so grateful, Victor saved us the loss of fresh meats that had already been prepared for BBQ. The hotel style is a unfinished /industrial / clean astethic, very nice change of pace for us. The jucuzzi's on the first floor are clean and private- with the forest as the back drop. My bed was Marshmello soft. In the morning everyone raved about how comfortable their beds were. The doors require an assigned code and you are issued a key fob for the gate ( do not loose it$). The AC in the rooms are perfect, the big screens are awesome, the rain shower is very comforting. Usually hotel pools gross me out but this pool is immaculate. We relaxed to the lovey sounds of the forest ... Will recommend to anyone who really enjoys being so close to the beach and likes listening the wild life. Thank you for making such a great impression Victor, your hotel really made a positive impression...

Lamentablemente no fue buena mi experiencia mi esposa y yo reservamos un cuarto con jacuzzi y cuando llegamos al cuarto el mismo no funcionaba. Llamamos al número que tenían para que nos resolvieran el problema y nos atendió una persona llamada Milagros y nos indica que nos devolverá la llamada en cinco minutos. Tras esperar 20 minutos volvimos a llamar para saber que iban a hacer con respecto al jacuzzi. Nos contesto otra persona llamada Victoria a quien le explicamos nuevamente la situacion y nos indica que nos iban a devolver la llamada en 5 minutos. Esperamos 20 minutos más y tuvimos que devolver la llamada nuevamente y la persona nos dijo que la administradora nos iba a llamar. Tras esperar otros 20 minutos tuvimos que volver a llamar y nos atendió Victoria a quién parece que le molesto que insistieramos y nos dijo que humanamente no podía hacer nada y nos colgó la llamada dejándonos con la palabra en la boca. Por fin nos devuelve la llamada la administradora quien se llama Luzmarie Soneira para decirnos que tenia una queja. En todo momento nosotros estamos pensando que la queja era por la situación del jacuzzi ya que reservamos un cuarto con jacuzzi el cual no funcionaba y resultó ser que tras que se atreve a sacarnos en cara que ya había salido de su turno de trabajo y despues que estaba en su casa tuvo que volver a la oficina para atender la situación me devuelve la llamada pero para reclamarnos por una queja que le dio una de las empleadas llamada Victoria donde le dijo a la administradora que nosotros le habiamos dicho palabras soeces lo cual era totalmente mentira y la administradora nos dijo que el jacuzzi tenia un timer y que prendía a las 12 del mediodía y que tenia varias alternativas para nosotros y la alternativa era cancelar nuestra estadía y nos fuéramos cuando nosotros veníamos de lejos y a esa hora no podíamos regresar a nuestro hogar. Para colmo tras que su empleada fue una mentirosa resultó que la administradora también nos mintió y nos engañó pues por la mañana cuando llegó el personal de servicio que por cierto debo decir que ellos si nos atendieron amablemente nos indicaron que los jacuzzi de las habitaciones estaban dañadas por lo que no tengo nada positivo que decir del lugar pues nos trataron mal y nos engañaron y creo que si estamos pagando por un cuarto con jacuzzi privado el cual es más costoso que un cuarto regular debería funcionar en perfectas condiciones. Espero que otras personas lean esto para que no vayan a ser engañadas como nos...
