This place was amazing, On a trip to PR and saw this place on google and decided to stop by due to the high ratings and people praising this place in the reviews. Most of the reviews are actually understating this place - heavily. We (my party of 3) got 3 personal pizzas, all variations of el pecado, one got no cheese, one got one with jalapeños. This is some of the best pizza i have ever had and that says a lot. I have been all over america and many pizza places and this place tops all of them. so much so that i'm leaving a review which i do not usually do. the pizza is completely homemade and i couldn't imagine any better, there is no one particular attribute that i could pinpoint made it so good, but the crust and the sauce and the meat particularly i remember were unlike anything i've had, and very tasty. The dessert i got was very good, and the person whom i was with who ordered the chocolate cake said it was very good as well. The service is very quick even on a busy day and the staff are nice and friendly, and a lot of them are bilingual (it's primarily a spanish-speaking establishment, a lot of them speak english though as well) The atmosphere of the place is very homey and comfortable with the restaurant located in an old, bigger, puerto rican house that just has a nice vibe despite being pretty old, It really completed the experience of eating there. felt like i...
Read moreWent lazt Saturday...everything I ordered was really good. Hummus, soup, pizza, dessert. My mom, who was with me, ordered the sangria and she said it was very good. Lots of interesting choices of pizzas. Gorgeous place, nice ambience. The only negative comment would be that, since I was sure which pizza to choose (two caught my attention), I asked the waitresses and she suggested to have half and half so to try both choices which I agreed it was a good idea. When the bill came, the choice of half and half cost $1, which is okay, but she never told me. It makes you think there could be other suggestions that may cost money. Also, I ordered a large pizza (thinking it would be small enough for one person - which it wasn't), and when my mom was going to order her meal, the waitress left, so I called her back and told her my mom wanted to order. She seemed surprised (probably thought the large pizza was for both), but asjws what she wanted. So our appetizer arrived, the soup, the drinks, my pizza, but ket0 waiting for the other meal. 15 to 20 minutes passed and nothing, so I asked a very helpful gentleman, maybe the manager, and he checked on the bill and the other meal was not there...he offered to have it prepared right away, but my mom said she'd eat the pizza. She was really looking forward to her vegetarian meal and ended up having pizza with sausage, pork...
Read moreThe service I received here was outstanding! Emanuel was a great waitress. The ambiance was good too. The restaurant was warmly decorated.
About the food: the food was good. But there is room for opportunity.
My party had Croquetas de Mampostiao’ and they were delicious! Also had the Pulpo a la Gallega and was good but too oily, same as the Papas Pirilo.
Half of my party ordered the Basilica pie and it was really good. I definitely recommend it to anyone that enjoys the sweet-and-salty combination.
I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and the breast was tender and juicy. It was well seasoned. I ordered with gnocchi in pink sauce, and the gnocchi itself was flavorless. Without the sauce, it was bland. Hard to say they make it in house, and if they do, they need to work on the recipe. My spouse had gnocchi in creamy pesto sauce.
We also had Mojitos, one of Acerola and the another of Tamarindo. Both good but leaning towards the “too sweet” line.
I’d recommend this place as a pizza restaurant. Their appetizers are good so is their service. Other than that, there is definitely room for...
