Chateau Inn & Suites — Hotel in Downey

The energy inside the rooms so bad that it took forever to fall asleep. I should have done a crossover for the bad things/people that have happened in that room. Very comfortable physically otherwise & clean king size room (except for the bugs), the tub was bleached white clean. Two towels, washcloth, and bathmats towel,two TPs, shampoos, 2 bars soap. Pillows could use updating, yikes, but that's why I bring my own lol. So, YES. its true, at 10pm on the dot, everyones greatest "friends" appeared...I put a damp towel on the floor and Brown-banded roaches came out of hiding. YOU GUYS NEED to do INTERNAL, PROFESSIONAL SPRAYING between the walls. Those kind of roaches do not get stuck on sticky traps. They are very intellent and their life cycles last 3 months with 10 generations. These things love mold and old rotten wood, so obviously during the remodel, it wasnt exterminated correctly. These mini breed of roaches do introduce dangerous bacteria and pathogens into your home by spreading bacteria and protozoa which causes gastroenteritis and diarrhea, asthma and allergies. SOOO, I just got to my new hotel. and there was a 1" roach inside my breadsticks, WHICH i had all night in the fridge! So they can get into the fridge. Now I cant eat them and have to give them to the dog, cuz these things carry food poisoning. 2nd issue for owners to do: The mattresses do not have mattress protectors on them and need to! A king size only costs $39 at HomeGoods/TJMaxx. The mattress didn't have stains, but still, that's how scabies and MRSA can spread. There is just the two white sheets. The hotel coverlette was brand new washed. Room has bath tub. It's just sad how no matter what hotel you go to, guests destroy other people's property. This room was obviously cigarette smoked in, but not recent... However, as soon as there's a lazy, selfish smoker in a room (even if you take their deposit), it's not enough, cuz they have permanently damaged the room and give the property one star. There's a huge swimming pool in the middle of the complex. Nicely manicured area and family management is very sweet....

me and my boyfriend came into town for a family event the check in was at 2 so we left the event to check in first off the guy at the front desk was very rude i waited 10 mins before i even got any help from them i had my 2 cousins that live in LA to help me get my luggage he immediately started accusing me of them staying in my hotel and how he was going to charge us extra i explained about three times that they were just helping me out. He then charged me 30 dollars on top of what i had already payed on expedia and said if they stayed the night he would keep it. So as soon as that issue was over we proceeded to going into the room and i cant even begin to explain how disgusting this place was. The light in the restroom was broken and we couldnt see..there was holes in the walls cigarette burns on the top blanket throw up in the ac white nasty stains on the chairs from who knows what all the lamps where stained with yellow stains the smell in the room was so disgusting so me and my boyfriend left pretty upset and went to go find another hotel so we could stay in when we came back to return the key she refused to give us a refund and just began to yell and wouldnt even allow me to get a single word in we didnt even stay the 2 night i payed for but i did come back and took pictures of everything do not stay here this is the most disgusting placce id rather sleep outside with the prostitutes than...

Booked a stay here and regretted it from the moment I checked in. First off, parking is a nightmare. You have to traverse a tiny, unlit alley and pray there is a space to park. |||| The room however was a complete disaster. There was spray paint on the head board of the bed, the coat rack was two boards nailed to the wall and a piece of string to hang your clothes. There was a hole in the wall that had been fixed and then punched out again that management didn't care enough to fix. The carpet was so dirty that you could feel the dirt and filth crunching beneath your feet. The AC unit only worked on the low setting and part of the lower casing was missing. || || But worst of all (if the previous items weren't enough to disgust you) was that there was no running water in the room. Yes the toilet flushed, but the sink and the shower didn't work AT ALL. I ended up going a quarter mile down the road to a far far better hotel that only cost 40$ more a night. || || If you have no other place to stay and are low on cash, I advise you to save your money and sleep in your car at a 24/7 business rather than stay in this...
