Motel staff was friendly but a little hard to understand but we received the room we wanted. It is a small single level NO Frills motel in every sense of the word, the room is "roomy" but very basic, in excellent shape appearance wise but with that being said there are things lacking. The bed sheets do not fit at all on the bed š(no fitted sheet, makes for a long uncomfortable night), the bed frame is to large for the mattress so your chins/ankles are taking a beating when your walking near the bed. There is nowhere to hang clothes/jackets, towels etc... no soap dish in bath/shower and the water pressure is poor/minimal at best and two people showering we ran out of hot water rather quickly. The tub was slick when showering and there is no drain stop so my better half could take a bath that she perfers. The evening we stayed it was lower 20's and the bathroom (floor) was ice cold, no heater or heat lamp in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable (except for sheeting) 3 pillows for two adults in a king size bed, flat screen "smart tv" with satellite channels (with access to your Netflix account) was very nice, no coffeemaker or ice available but fridge and microwave in the room. Large desk with basic cloth seat chair(s). The furnishings were in good shape as was the carpet. The price is moderate for the area but know you get what you pay for. The motel has a CLC rate available but there is NO parking for large vehicles or vehicles w/trailers. The motel is located next to busy hwy 30 and truck traffic/noise is quite prevalent and persistent. We would possibly consider staying again if...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOwners' son confirmed my reservation and gave me my key. He was masked, well spoken, appeared clean & proper, and was very friendly. My room was small, but clean to a fault. It smelled very strongly of "Fabuloso" cleaner-- a scent with which I'm very familiar. Honestly, I was just glad it didn't smell like decades-old cigarette smoke as my last hotel room did... It would have been preferable if I could have opened a window for awhile to get some fresh air in, but neither of the windows could be opened at all.
The room furniture & fixtures were older and somewhat dated, but absolutely clean and in perfect working order. The clean towels, light-blocking curtains, small in-room microwave, college fridge, & single-cup coffee maker were all amenities I appreciated. I also appreciated such a nominal extra fee for allowing pets.
All-in-all, it was a great little place to just lay one's head...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI gave this 4 stars for a few reasons. This is definitely affordable for one. Low budget is great. Second the office personal were great we arrived at 2am and he got us set up quickly as well as being friendly and professional. I was taken back by the room. It smelled great, it was very clean. Even the bathroom! It had more than what we needed for the night so if you need a place for more than a night definitely check them out. The heater was the best I've seen in even high class hotels. It dried our clothes quickly. (We got rained out on the motorcycle) It also had plenty of actually windows I felt like I was in a hone away from home. (Child safety locks too). The only downfall to this place was is that is was off route 30 on the bottom of a hill so in the morning you could hear the semi trucks breaking. Between the Heater and the TV I still managed to sleep until 10am. So again 4...
