Gateway Homestyle Express — Restaurant in East Providence Township

This place had the absolute worst service I've seen in a while. The employees were rude to the customer, got the orders wrong, and when I tried to confirm that they got my order right, I got cut off with "Don't mess with me." I wouldn't give this place a nickel, nor would I ever commend them on their service. There were only two staff members who showed effort in trying to meet the standards of the costumer(I believe Heather was the manager, and was one of the two good ones). The food is decent for a rest stop.

However the service was absolutely horrendous: when I ordered it somehow didn't make it into the system, and I waited 15 minutes for nothing until I realized they finished an order for someone who ordered after me. When I asked about my order the employees had no idea that I ordered. Like how does that happen?

In conclusion, I had to wait almost 30 minutes for food at a supposedly 'express' lunch place. I'd personally go to...

I am not a pig. I don't pay good money for slop. So, no tip. It seems as if the General Tso's chicken was made with chicken tenders rather than the actual batter you should have used, which gives the nice golden color and fluffy texture before you add the sauce, which it was not, unfortunately. The rice is MUCH better dry with the choice of fried or white rice along with soy sauce packets rather than the greasy rice soup...
