I came here with my cousin and her boyfriend for a little brunch and we ended the day quite disappointed. We ordered their loaded potato appetizer and honestly it was quite good. The potatoes weren’t crispy but it was still good. My cousins boyfriend and I both got an omelette and she got some braised beef thing I think. She couldn’t even eat more than a couple bites as it was terrible. Her boyfriend and I both tried it and agreed it was not good. We told the waitress and the manager came over, apologized and asked if we wanted anything else which I appreciated. She got just one little breakfast sandwich but the downside was it took a while for the server to come ask how our food was in the first place, so we got her order to go and some boxes for us. The omelettes we got weren’t horrible, but the description said caramelized onions and peppers for them, but it seemed like they were barely cooked at all. I hate eating raw vegetables and that’s basically what we were doing. One of our breads also weren’t buttered and it just tasted bad. I dont know how, it’s bread, but it did. The water also tasted like straight tap water, didn’t seem to be filtered in any way. I was impressed though at the unlimited refills for chocolate milk which I had. When we left everyone was still polite and the manager apologetic about the food being bad which was nice, but we won’t be back. They did end up not charging for her beef dish and the sandwich we got, and we still tipped as if it wasn’t taken off, just overall...
Read moreI always eat at Bob Evans when I go through Breezewood and I have always had a good experience at this location when it comes to food. Service can be meh sometimes, it does depend on the waiter/waitress you get. It is never terrible service, so I find it doesn't take away from the overall experience. I make it here a few times a year and I just look forward to the food. I recommend the cinnamon chip pancakes although they are very sweet, basically dessert for breakfast, the country fried steak with rolls, the honey butter chicken, the biscuits, and the pot roast. I like the baked potato soup as well although I wish they did not use bacon bits as they are quite chewy. I am also a big fan of their peach iced tea! The fried cinnamon biscuits (cinnabiscuits) are also quite delicious! They are like mini donuts rolled in cinnamon sugar. In the past, I also loved their coconut cream pie but this location no longer has it :( Bob Evans is a solid place for any time of day and I don't think you can really go wrong with anything here. If you are looking for a filling meal or a hearty breakfast, this is the place to go! Also, the gift shop area is fun to explore, there are always fun candies, games and books for kids, stuffed animals, sweatshirts, and even crystal statues and...
Read moreAfter a 9 hour drive, we were excited to be stopping for a nice meal. Upon arriving, it seemed like it would be a good experience. Once we were seated at our table, there were only 2-3 waiters that we had seen the whole time we were there, making it slightly difficult to get anything we needed. They may have just been short staffed tonight, but workers were running all over the place, barely having time to talk with their guest and dropping dishes. We had to wait 10-15 to even receive our drinks, and when our food arrived it was very disappointing. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was so far from what the menu described I would have been better getting a mcchicken and small fries from McDonald’s up the road. The chicken breast was very small and very fatty, and the cheese seemed like a Kraft singles slice, that was barely even melted onto the sandwich with the smallest piece of lettuce I’ve ever received on a sandwich. They didn’t even put any condiments of any kind on it. I had to use a packet of mayo to put some on my sandwich. And to top it off, my less than full hand full portion of fries that weren’t even warm were also very disappointing. A very over priced meal for very poor quality of service. We have no intention of coming back to any Bob Evans...
