DON'T COME HERE. My latest review from a month and a half ago was taken down, so I'm warning people again. As a long time customer, I'm disappointed to say that this place has really gone downhill. Who is in charge now? I understand that times are tough, but the class of people staying here, and what they get away with, is terrible and dangerous.
People were smoking pot in the parking lot. The male customer service rep at the counter, looked miserable, and acted like he didn't want to be there. The stinky room on the second floor was dirty, with pet food on the carpet, and cockroaches crawling on the kitchen floor. The guy in the room next to me, was screaming and cursing at a woman and baby that were crying and screaming. I knocked on their door. No answer. I went downstairs and asked for security. I was told there wasn't any, and the guy looked annoyed that I even brought it up. The rep came upstairs, knocked on their door, and believed the abusive liar - that it was just "a misunderstanding".
Five minutes later, the jerk was screaming and cursing again, and was throwing things around the room. The woman and baby were both screaming bloody murder. I called the cops. They arrived immediately, and knocked repeatedly. When the abusive guy finally opened the door, he lied again, saying he was having a fight with someone on the phone. I couldn't tell if he was taken into custody or not.
I spent the rest of the night worried sick about this woman and baby, and wondering if this psycho was coming back or still in the room next to me. I didn't get any sleep.
Next day, a woman from the staff, came upstairs, banging on my door at 10 a.m. yelling that I get out, even though check out wasn't until 11 a.m. What a nightmare!
I ran into into another employee just outside, as I was leaving. I tried telling her about the night before, but she couldn't be bothered and was answering her personal calls on her cell phone. No one responded to my earlier review or offered a refund.
Later, when I looked at the reviews again, I noticed someone else had complained four months ago about the abusive psychopath that enjoys terrifying the woman and child in his room, along with upsetting other guests nearby. This criminal is a regular? Why hasn't he been banned from the hotel? Why hasn't the staff pressed charges against him? Are you just waiting for the woman and baby to get killed?
Whoever is running the hotel, is failing. It's bad business. This place is no...

Read moreGreat option at an affordable price. Needed a place locally in a pinch and went with them based upon the rate and their pet policy. Fee is $25 per dog, with service dogs obviously being free. Other places wanted $150 per dog. Which is astronomical.
Rooms were clean and didnt smell like there had ever been dogs or cats there prior to us. My only complaint about the property is a lack of garbage cans which in turn leads guests to litter bc they otherwise have to bring their trash back to the room or walk all the way to the dumpster. The only garbage can that's available is across the parking lot in the rear of the hotel and it's meant for dog poop as there's a bag dispenser above it.
My other issue is that the toilets in the room had trouble flushing my offerings and aren't the normal pressurized ones you find in most commercial applications. I spent alot of time with the plunger which happens to be in every room, so at least they're aware of the weakness. However there isn't a restroom in the lobby that I could've used as an alternative (which I would've if it meant not clogging the toilet daily).
That being said the staff really is wonderful there and makes the 2 above shortcomings worth dealing with. Wesley at the front desk was awesome, and the GM Benjamin was also top notch. Both went above and beyond to make my stay during a tough time smooth as silk. I highly recommend the Raritan Center location and it will be my 1st choice should the need ever arise again for a...
