that is will be your life experience, once you check in you are no longer in America & you are in your own, the new manager damage the place very well , if it happened to be he is the one to check you in at the front desk, good luck , you will need a translator to understand what he is saying, then it will takes him for ever to find out your reservation & he need really long time to figured how to sign you to the room based on leaks of experience & talented , no professional, he will start getting nervous , talk loud & rude , don’t be disappointed, that is his personality, based on his long experience as professional yellow cab driver in New York City for so many years , and very much he has an issue & incident in daily basis with guests , police car & cops in & out daily , most of the rooms has an old & broken furniture , sheets & bed covers , towels very old & dirty , you will have the pleasure to meet the roaches around the kitchen & under the sink, behind the Refrigerator. most of the room carpet smell vey bad & nasty if the guest before you has pets, you need to watch out when you get in and out the elevator always the floor wet from the dogs urine. Try to stay away from the trash room most of the time the trash up to the Ceiling & the door is wide open from the overfill of trash , you will never forget the smell.. most important part you will miss safety & security, specially when you will find out the manager & his assistant they entered your room without permission to check rooms & check your belongings, many guests filled trespassing police reports against the manager for entering their rooms , the cleaning and room services policy every two weeks but the realty at hotel once ever two months, make sure to check your statements & transactions always over charge , run your credit without your permission take a look at the photos to decide.

Only what I would describe as putrid. First thing I see when I walk in the room is the kitchen sink that looks like someone threw up in it. Smelt awful, hasn’t been cleaned. I went to clean it, when I filled it with water the sink clogged. Some weird orange hunk stuck to the bathroom floor. Next thing I noticed was a dead fly on the table. I went to call the front desk and make a complaint but the light side table didn’t even work! Plugged in and everything, just completely fried I suppose. I went to take a shower and the curtain rod mounted to the wall is coming undone so I couldn’t even close the shower curtain without it sliding open again. I stayed from 10pm Saturday, and left first thing in the morning 7am Sunday. I left in a hurry to get out of that nasty room and I left my own bed pillow behind. I called around 9pm that same Sunday night and the front desk clerk said room service never brought that in, that’d I’d have to call in the morning to talk to a manager. An absolute waste of money. Would’ve been better sleeping in my truck.

Had I seen pictures like these i would have rethought placing a reservation. I asked how old was this building maybe that would justify that it was unsanitary. This building is 16 years old and it does not justify that the rooms appear as unkept as they did. The location is great but as you drive up it looks rundown, the screens in the windows were torn or had holes. The curtains looked dirty but nothing prepared me for the old musty sweat smell or bathtub that had an ingrained black ring in it. Staff is very helpful and it would be ok for 40.00 but a hundred plus just does not sit well for me. I would take any other hotel that offered less as long as it is being kept up. Hope this helps someone as I wish I was forewarned. They do offer oatmeal, muffins, bars and coffee or tea but it was hard for me to eat because smell and the fact that it didn't look clean. I was just hoping the place didn't have bugs that you can take home. Not a good experience.

DON'T COME HERE. My latest review from a month and a half ago was taken down, so I'm warning people again. As a long time customer, I'm disappointed to say that this place has really gone downhill. Who is in charge now? I understand that times are tough, but the class of people staying here, and what they get away with, is terrible and dangerous.

People were smoking pot in the parking lot. The male customer service rep at the counter, looked miserable, and acted like he didn't want to be there. The stinky room on the second floor was dirty, with pet food on the carpet, and cockroaches crawling on the kitchen floor. The guy in the room next to me, was screaming and cursing at a woman and baby that were crying and screaming. I knocked on their door. No answer. I went downstairs and asked for security. I was told there wasn't any, and the guy looked annoyed that I even brought it up. The rep came upstairs, knocked on their door, and believed the abusive liar - that it was just "a misunderstanding".

Five minutes later, the jerk was screaming and cursing again, and was throwing things around the room. The woman and baby were both screaming bloody murder. I called the cops. They arrived immediately, and knocked repeatedly. When the abusive guy finally opened the door, he lied again, saying he was having a fight with someone on the phone. I couldn't tell if he was taken into custody or not.

I spent the rest of the night worried sick about this woman and baby, and wondering if this psycho was coming back or still in the room next to me. I didn't get any sleep.

Next day, a woman from the staff, came upstairs, banging on my door at 10 a.m. yelling that I get out, even though check out wasn't until 11 a.m. What a nightmare!

I ran into into another employee just outside, as I was leaving. I tried telling her about the night before, but she couldn't be bothered and was answering her personal calls on her cell phone. No one responded to my earlier review or offered a refund.

Later, when I looked at the reviews again, I noticed someone else had complained four months ago about the abusive psychopath that enjoys terrifying the woman and child in his room, along with upsetting other guests nearby. This criminal is a regular? Why hasn't he been banned from the hotel? Why hasn't the staff pressed charges against him? Are you just waiting for the woman and baby to get killed?

Whoever is running the hotel, is failing. It's bad business. This place is no...

Great option at an affordable price. Needed a place locally in a pinch and went with them based upon the rate and their pet policy. Fee is $25 per dog, with service dogs obviously being free. Other places wanted $150 per dog. Which is astronomical.

Rooms were clean and didnt smell like there had ever been dogs or cats there prior to us. My only complaint about the property is a lack of garbage cans which in turn leads guests to litter bc they otherwise have to bring their trash back to the room or walk all the way to the dumpster. The only garbage can that's available is across the parking lot in the rear of the hotel and it's meant for dog poop as there's a bag dispenser above it.

My other issue is that the toilets in the room had trouble flushing my offerings and aren't the normal pressurized ones you find in most commercial applications. I spent alot of time with the plunger which happens to be in every room, so at least they're aware of the weakness. However there isn't a restroom in the lobby that I could've used as an alternative (which I would've if it meant not clogging the toilet daily).

That being said the staff really is wonderful there and makes the 2 above shortcomings worth dealing with. Wesley at the front desk was awesome, and the GM Benjamin was also top notch. Both went above and beyond to make my stay during a tough time smooth as silk. I highly recommend the Raritan Center location and it will be my 1st choice should the need ever arise again for a...
