This is gonna be a long one folks and unfortunately none of it good. The most infuriating occurrence!! They charge a hefty pet deposit to bring your animals into this facility. I have cats and they love to be by the window and smell the fresh air. I had the windows open while I was cleaning my room and I peek out of the restroom to check on my pets. One of my babies was missing and the other on her way out of the window. Unbeknownst to me the screen had huge gaping holes in it that were hidden by being tucked into the frame. I caught my kitten before she jumped out but my adult was already out if the window on a structure below. Granted cats are spry but this is a long fall if the vines give way under him and what if he takes off and Im unable to retrieve him. I spent at least an hour getting him down and back into safety. When I informed the front desk they didn't care one iota! I requested a manager and somehow conveniently none are ever available. As of now we are stuck in a stuffy room with no fresh air going on month 4! Here we go bedding and linens. So you are expected to reuse your towels on your body for multiple days and your sheets, blankets, and pillow cases as well. This is all fine I do this at home. However when it is time to get clean linens the front desk nearly never has any. So if you bring down your dirties before getting new be prepared to be lied to and danced around for an entire day. Management as well as staff will bold face lie and say they will bring it to your room when its clean and never do. This has happened on at least 5 different occasions. It doesn't matter if you call a couple of hours later and remind them or go down yourself and request some hours and hours later they won't give it up. Its like you are inconveniencing them by requesting what you have already payed for. I went until midnight on one occasion and had to go down and argue with a maid so I could have any sort of linen for my bed it was literally just a mattress. We didn't have towels that next morning and were unable to shower. Personal hygiene is extrenemely important and a basic human right this absolutely disgusted me. Next lets discuss breakfast. It is supposed to be something simple at this location muffins, granola, and oatmeal with coffee... They have not had breakfasts for the 3 months ive been here just coffee if that.. This past week they seem to have got some supplies in. We have witnessed the front desk clerk hiding the breakfasts at times when certain guests come down. Or they wait until the contractors staying here leave before placing it out. Another service they have been payed for in advance and are not providing. Now the laundry facilities. The majority of the time the machines are down. When you run a cycle and the dryer or washer goes down during your load the front desk won't give you your money back or will not give you all of it. The elevator. It doesn't work and hasn't worked for 2 months literally not exaggerating. Im on the second floor so it isn't that bad unless Im carrying groceries and laundry upstairs which is very inconvenient. I can only imagine ppl on the third floor..... Lastly is the fact that this facility closes down at around 10 pm the doors get locked the front desk gated off. There is only one person on staff in the building and she is elderly and rude. They don't have a security guard either. So when there is ppl blasting music nobody is there to stop it. Or the horrible children upstairs that are storming around like a herd of elephant at 1 am and whose parents are willfully ignorant aren't being called out.

Read moreI wanted to be fair and for several days I held off on doing a review for this particular location of Extended Stay. Attempted to stay here on a Wednesday night into Thursday. At first everything seemed to be okay. My friend and I wanted to get out of the house during this current Shelter in place so we booked a room. We had plans to meet some friends for dinner and would go to the hotel to get ready and make it feel like we were on a staycation. When we decided to go back to the room around 1230am the room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke and neither of us smoke. We don't know if it was coming from the walls vents or door or even if the hotel let someone in the room but it was so bad my friend became ill so we left around 115am NEVER to return or use the room. In all we may have spent 2 hours total there for $119. When I got up Thursday morning I decided to call the hotel and make them aware of the situation. I was told the manager would call me back which he never did. I called the second time later in the day and was told the manager was extremely busy and had a lot on his plate but he would call back. He never did. Friday I called and I was told the same thing The manager will call back in he was extremely busy he had a lot on his plate. Friday afternoon I received a phone call from the front desk offering me 20% off my original bill of $119 meaning they paid $23.58 basically giving me my tax back for a room that I couldn't use because it wasn't clean and it had cigarette smoke that made others ill. I talked to someone in guest service relations and she stated that the district manager would call me hopefully by Monday It is now Monday night and I never received a phone call however I did talk to somebody again at guest services and they said that they were trying to have the district manager call me within 24 hours I wanted to be fair with this hotel I wanted to so badly give them a decent rating but the way I've been treated that is difficult I'm giving them the stars that they're getting not because of the customer service at the direct hotel but the customer service the guest services has given me over the last few days my beef isn't with extended stay my beef is with extended stay Sacramento Elk Grove I'm never going to say never that I will stay here again because it may end up being I will stay there again it will be very difficult for me to stay here based on the current situation however if they make it right I will make it right for them I will redo this review to the point where I will update it and let everybody know that they did work with me but as the moment I can't do that I wanted to be fair extended stay chose the bad review rather than a good one. Extended stay corporate we get a totally different review Even though I haven't received the phone call back from the district manager yet It's the customer service reps that have made me not give a bad review completely Make it right extended stay and I'll stay again keep playing the game giving me 20% off my bill paying for the tax and I'll play that game too Your service at the hotel is terrible and I'm not afraid to say it but if you make it right I will make it right for you. Update 4/28/2020 I talked with the manager of the extended stay in Elk Grove today and they extended their hand to make it right and as I promise I would also make it right If in fact everything that we talked about does come true and then I will update it once again and make it an incredibly more positive review things happen and in life we have to take the good with the bad and learn from mistakes If somebody tries to do the right thing then we should allow them to try to do the right thing and I believe the extended stay the Sacramento Elk Grove is doing the right thing let's just see how it goes over the next couple days and I'll continue to do the right...
Read moreStayed here Labor Day weekend. I will never come back to an Extended Stay ever again. The worst experience ever. After a long night out, I came back to ants in the bathroom sink. Instantly I grabbed a used towel to kill them. My girlfriend called the front desk to notify the overnight desk attendant and the overnight desk attendant made excuses like it’s hot outside, ants sneaking in the room is normal, there’s nothing we can really do about that, but I’ll let the manager know for the next shift. We also weren’t offered a different room to move to. Later that morning we notify the assistant manager that we had ants in our room, she replies :” I’m on my way to your room now”, doesn’t ask if we’re properly dressed or for permission. We had to tell her to wait just a little while. When she and another employee arrived I showed her the ants on the towel. She said she didn’t see the massive amount of ants that we said were in the room, and can;t comp us a night’s stay at the room. I showed her several dead ants on the towel that I killed the ants with and basically said I should've taken pictures first for real proof. Who does that? She should’ve taken our word for it. On my second night there after coming back, another set of ants came back to the bathroom in the sink. Same response from the night time desk attendant. So I took pictures and recorded a video of the ants in our room this time and then killed the ants. My girlfriend and I felt very dirty ended up doing our hygiene elsewhere because of the ants, also never felt comfortable sleeping at all because there was also an ant that crawled on her in the bed. They don’t give out any extra linen. We were rudely told that there’s no daily room service only every 14 days, but later the General Manager notified us that we could’ve paid an extra $5 to have our room serviced while the staff that we asked for that service didn’t bother to mention it. Only can exchange towel sets, you don’t get any extra towel sets. When we were passing through the lobby to go to our car, there were 4 employee’s talking to each other like they were at a cookout, very unprofessional language , lots and lots of cursing as if customers weren’t in the lobby as well and they could care less. The cherry on top is that we thought we left something in the room after check out and called the hotel and asked if anyone had been to our room yet, so we could retrieve an item. The employee that answered the phone screamed at us erratically as if she was having a mental breakdown for asking a simple question. “Ain't nobody been in your room” in a very loud nasty tone. She also hung up on us and wouldn’t not answer after we called back to ask for a manager. That employee has since been terminated. Do yourself a huge favor, save your money and don’t stay here.
