Only dislike I had is there are no snack machines and everything around closes early. Other than that it pure perfection, the rooms were good with an absolutely beautiful view. A lot of hotels advertise pools and they end up small. This was the perfect size. Their is free wine cheese and crackers from 5pm to 7pm. You also get breakfast, coffee, cookies, water etc, and outdoors is cornhole, a basketball area and a guests area beach including an indoor section, lots of beach seating, a grill to use and 2 firepits (with lots of spiders on them) I could not have been happier with a place to stay. The views are absolutely stunning. Will definitely be back. The people at the front desk were great and very helpful and kind people.

When it comes to staying in Door County, my wife and I make it a point to stay here on longer trips. The staff is awesome and the location is even better. The rooms are always clean, the shower has actual hot water! We’ve stayed 3 times and will be going back for all of our DC trips. If you’re a night owl you can sit by the fireplace right on the water or take a quick walk next door to the ‘Art House’ and paint your name on the walls. Enjoy your stay, I know you will.

Location was great with a private beach. They have a wine, cheese and cracker welcome everyday after check in. (we came too late to enjoy). Room was a woods view and it was not bad at all. The only issue was the bed was very uncomfortable. Woke up many times stiff and sore. Had to get out of bed to just stretch as I was stiff as heck! Definitely did not wake up well rested. That’s where the lost star came from. Pool and hot tub were nice.

We went to Door County for a birthday celebration and sadly this is the first negative review I have had to write. ||We arrived on Friday 9/12, and the check-in process went well, the room was nice, and everything seemed ok. We were told that the housekeeping service would come in daily and remake the beds, cleanup the room, remove and replace any used towels and empty the garbage and resupply any coffee and toiletries needed. |This was true only the first day. |The second day we were out for the day and came back late and noticed that nothing had been touched? We went to bed and figured they would come back the next day. Nope...nothing. We had to empty our trash and reuse the "towels, etc. I had to go to the office get my own coffee supplies, etc. The only response I got was "Sorry"...help yourself to what you need. No....what is your room number? so, we will make sure they service you tomorrow. Nope...didn't happen. ||The worst part was the extremely loud pipe banging noise that began off and on from 12:00 midnight to around 4 am the last night we were there. It was intermittent and lasted 30 minutes each time it happened. No sleep for us that night. |We went to the office to report it and were told.....we have had that happen in the past...and the obligatory "Sorry".....Very dismissive and after I explained the lack of room service and the noise that kept us up the response was an amazing," Sorry but we hope you will come back" followed by a smile? Very disappointing.....customer service? I hope future potential visitors have a better experience than we did... not a good birthday weekend. 😒. They seem to not to care about living up to what they promise they will do. |We will definitely not be...

I recently came back from a lovely family vacation in Door County. My husband and I come every year at the end of August for our anniversary but this time we took our kids with us. (We are still going on our own in August 😉). Because it was a family vacation we stayed at the family friendly resort. I would like to give a shout out to Pine Grove Resort for the clean, comfortable, friendly facility. The concierge/ reception person was always helpful and smiling. The room was clean and comfortable. There were freshly baked cookies in the afternoon, as well as wine and cheese tasting. The continental breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate to start your day. Fresh coffee, water and lemonade was always available. The pool was nice, clean and specious. And the location was lovely, right on Hwy 42 overlooking the water and a private access to the water. It was our first time there and we really enjoyed it. I believe that we should always credit businesses that provide a great service. If we come again with children, we will definitely stay at Pine...

The lady who runs this place is just an exceptional woman. With the constant flow of new people, kids, and all the stresses that come with a normal hotel setting, not to mention one in Door County, it's not unusual for your service workers to let you know that they aren't thrilled to help you, you are not any different than everyone else and they sometimes seem irritated that you are happy to be there!!! Not here....This lady, I wish I got her name, was lovely, kind, helpful, and seemed very genuine about it all. Even saw us getting back just after she locked up for the night and checked to make sure we had our keys to get into the building. Just a sweet lady. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is nobody's fault, so it may be a touch unfair, but the price of the rooms are just way too high...not any higher than all the resorts in Door County, but the lodging situation in all the County is just crazy high. I get it. Like everyone else, I know this going in. I just...
