Days Inn by Wyndham Espanola — Hotel in Espanola

I was traveling with my grandson and family and although we were not expecting a 4 star luxury accommodation, nothing could have prepared us for this biohazard filled environment!!! We arrived after a 13 hour journey from Dallas, Texas to this horror!||- Blood splattered on side of bath tub ||- Old blood marks on bedding||- Mold growing in bathtub, toilet,bedroom ceilings, and flooring ||- Fungus/mold growing in microwave and refrigerator ||- Moldy used spoon on floor ||- Toe nail clippings on floor ||- Cigarette holes in bedding ||- Hairs on pillows and bedding||- Mold/fungus/brown residue growing on AC unit||- Urine/unknown bodily fluid marks on sheets ||- Smell of urine/feces from carpets and upholstery ||All of this among many other things as can be seen in pictures!!!||||My husband and I are retired professionals who travel all the time and although we love the small luxuries in life as well, we are very humbled by nature, culture, and the small things in life. I am absolutely appalled that a hotel in such condition can be listed as a family-friendly accommodation on the Priceline website! We booked this hotel as it was advertised as a Wyndham chain hotel and believed it would live up to a certain standard, but it clearly didn’t! I was most disappointed with Priceline’s response who said that they would have to wait for the manager in the morning before they could resolve anything and had the audacity to offer me a 20% discount!! ||||Priceline falsely advertised this room and offered this service to families travelling with children and then when we turned up to this bio-hazardous inhumane inhabitable situation, they could not even offer us another hotel room!!!! For a billion dollar company who makes money from the trust of families like mine, this is totally unacceptable!!! Priceline put my family in a dangerous situation and we were left with the option of finding our own accommodation late at night with my baby grandson by me!! The sad thing is that after speaking to the manager of the hotel and manager of Priceline, it was acceptable for Priceline to expose their customers to such a deplorable and hazardous situation and then do nothing about it. The best they would do is offer us another room in the SAME hotel!!! Which I refused immediately saying to them that if someone offers you another plate of food at a restaurant that had a cockroach in the first plate, then will you accept it??!! I said I would not subject my family to these conditions and left the hotel immediately!! We will be seeking legal help and informing the city of the hazardous and inhabitable conditions of this hotel as we do not want any other family being exposed to...

The rooms were dirty and the staff extremely was rude! The mini refrigerator and most of the light fixture were broken but unfortunately for us that wasn't the worst part of our stay. Check out time is at eleven but made the mistake of assuming it was at twelve. Wish we would of been informed of the early check out time when we rented the room after 3 am that same morning since having a hour less of sleep then we were already getting would have been nice to have known. The maid knocked on the door at 10:58 asking if we were staying another night. When I said we were checking out she informed me of eleven o'clock check out. I apologized and told her we would be out ASAP. She rudely huffed and puffed at me stating I was her last room to clean and demanded to know how much more time would be. I politely told her that we needed a couple of minutes. The front desk called almost immediately after closing the door to the maid and informed me we only five minutes. I was extremely upset. So after rushing to get myself to out of their way i was even more upset when the first thing the front desk receptionist said when I came down to check out at 11:12 am, was the hold on security deposit of $100 would not be released on my card till she verified with cleaning staff the condition of the room. I responded by telling her good morning to you as well. Ten minutes later she then handed me a printout of the chargers and demanded that I initial next to statement of "blood on sheets"! I was confused and told her I guarantee neither myself nor my husband were responsible for blood on their sheets. I think we would have noticed if either of us were bleeding! Me and my husband were so tired from our trip and late arrival I hadn't noticed blood stains on the sheets which I honestly was grateful for since the room was so gross finding blood stains on our sheets would have made our stay even that more special. The TV in the room had no remote. The manager on duty Dolores stated she couldn't call anyone to come and program a remote. I arrived around 4pm and she had no one to do maintenace .They had no other remotes in the office. The light above the bed was out. I had to take old light bulb the same day of check in to office. Dolores gave me another bulb to replace it.

They have no ironing boards in the rooms or irons. If you go to the office they will loan you the iron. The carpets in room are old and need replacement. The air conditioner makes room very moist and muskie, wear slippers in room, feels like carpets don't get cleaned much.

The continental breakfast consist of white bread, wheat bread, cranberry bread and butter for your toast. One toaster, over ripe bananas, 3 different containers of cereal that's it. To drink you get 2 different kinds of juice and milk for cereal. They offer yogurt that's your breakfast .

At this Days Inn you get what you pay for. Terrible example of who they represent. Take your own pillows because they don't replace their pillows they look like they have had...
