El Pilar Restaurante — Restaurant in Espanola

Awful experience. Got seated with no menus. Then 20 minutes later asked what we would like to drink still with no menu. Had to ask for menus and when I asked was given a face. We ordered coffee and was not given coffee right away. My table got drinks and still no coffee. I had to ask the waitress again where wa surge coffee. Took a while to get food to our table. Food came out and our food was cold. Potatoes cold. Also do not sit by the bathroom. People walk back and forth and their door doesn’t get closed right and cold air kept coming in I was freezing while eating my meal. Also another customer got locked in and (not sure how? And didn’t bother to knock to open the door. She was a grown woman. I or my table would have gladly opened the door for her if we heard a knock but did not) and her table wanted to leave the door opened that lead to the bathroom and I proceeded to get up and close it because cold air made me freeze when it was open. We exchanged a few words in a polite manner but it was just an inconvenience for me. Also did not need refills on water. Water was a miss. Restaurant was not at all busy for us to be waiting so long for food and getting poor...

Paid damn near 78$ on something I did not order. And when I called to get it fixed, I spoke with a girl named “Ariel” who also took my order (was rude then as well) I let her know what was the problem and she then asks if there was anything wrong w anything else, as if she was going to make those orders right as well. She then says “you already paid for it, it’s too late you can’t do anything about it.” I asked to speak to somebody else and she said she was the only one working in “the whole restaurant”. We have been driving by this place & was curious... tried it out today & was pleasantly surprised! Everything was DELICIOUS! I had chicken tacos, husband had burrito with red chile, I got a side of green with my tacos. The red & green were fantastic, the chips n salsa were homemade, the rice, which i usually don't eat, yummy! We even got some green chile to go. Folks, don't pass this place up!
