We used to like this camp ground, but in the last 3 years, as very loyal customers, they have made notes and accused us of things that we have never done. They did the accusing last year before our stay. We knew it was false, but we apologized and proceeded with our stay. Thinking that the past was in the past, even if it was falsified, well, we were wrong. They again accused us of crating our dogs (we don't have a crate) and leaving dog poop all over our camp site (never have we ever!!!) And leaving charcoal out "all over the campsite". Last year, when they mentioned this, the site we were at literally had a lump of coals by the tree base, and me and the kids picked it up. We teach to leave things better than we found them. And again, they were very disrespectful, accusing us of these things AGAIN for this visit and threatening us to leave and not stay here, without refund. I took pictures of the site after our last stay because of our interaction with them and the unusual coal left on the site. The check-in person, I believe the owner, spoke to my husband, who has a very cool head, and was rude, again acusimg us of leaving a mess of ash, coal, and dog poop at our campsite. My husband told me he was about to just leave, because he could not believe this guy, who told him he "was on thin ice, he had to clean up a big mess". My husband said, likely with some attitude, "Thank you," and the person said, "Don't give me attitude, i will tell you to leave and not check you in." My husband then back stepped, apologized, and we were allowed entrance. We thought the first time, LAST YEAR, the issue was laid to rest. Well, it was not. They hold a false grudge for years. I will admit that we do go out in fields to let our dogs off leash to poop, and we clean it up, certainly not in our, or any campsites. Our elder dog had a picky gi system. She passed away (due to that bad GI tract) and was not with us for the past 2 years. Thus, no off leash pooping, and always picked up. The petty, disrespectful way we were treated is appalling and sick. I do not recommend this campground at all, solely because of the management. We are going to move our business down the road.
Edit added after their response: sir, you came today as we were packing up to be a bully. Every RVr has their pack up process. You and your employee came and stood by me, demanding that I get up and move so you could move the table, which was weird, and not actually in the way, we certainly did not ask for you to come down or move the table. I said No thank you, we can move it if it needs moved", but you told me to "get up". I gave the dogs over to my kids (who by the way, you may jave noticed the dogs were on a 6 foot leash, because we do know how to act as rvers with pets), because clearly you were not going to leave without moving the table, i have been sick for the past week with bronchitis, we did try to cancel becauae i have been sick, but, because of your cancelation policy we xould not, so, we decided to come anyway. I did say no thank you, we will move it if it needs moved. Frankly, i was up all night coughing and having a difficult time breathing so I really did not feel like getting up at that moment and walking the dogs. Thank you for pointing out that my kids were good and respectful to take the dogs on a walk, they know mommy is sick, and frankly you do too because my husband tried to cancel because i am sick. Shameful. Also, we have never rented your campfire pit, never had a campfire there, we also cook on a Blackstone, which does not leave ash or charcoal, so, we are not sure whose site you were looking at. I am so angry and disappointed in your lack of respect for your customers and of your bullying ways. I pray that you learn to treat others the way you want to be treated....
Read moreThe campground is located mile or two east of downtown Eureka Springs (as the crow flies) along the road that leads to the Christ of the Ozarks statue. When you enter the campground, stay to the left and enter the check-in lane. The segment of road on the right is the exit road, and both roads merge into a single-lane road that enters the campground, so when you leave and re-enter the campground you need to pay attention to oncoming traffic.
The campground is roughly divided into two sections, both of which have a mix of back-in and pull-through sites. The front section is where the bathhouse is located, which is home to the bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities, and serves as the entrance to the small outdoor pool. A little beyond that is the first social hall and covered pavilion area with outdoor cooking facilities. And just beyond that is the start of the loop for the back section of the campground, which is mostly pull-throughs (with some of them being buddy sites) and a couple of back-in sites, along with another social hall and pavilion. There is also another bathhouse in this section, but it was closed during our stay.
We had reserved a pull-through site, but for some reason they put us in back-in site 82 in the back section of the park. We ended up not complaining about it, because we had no neighbors to our right and we had wonderful views out the back window.
All of the sites are on gravel surfaces and come with picnic tables. Fire pits are available from the office on request. Our site was level, but it looked like some of the pull-through sites had a slight slope on either end of the site. There are several large grassy areas for walking dogs with dedicated cans for pet waste.
There is very little road noise from the road going past the campground (it’s not audible from the back section of the campground). There is a covered trolley stop in the front section of the campground where you can board one of the trolleys that brings you into downtown Eureka Springs.
In terms of cell service, the best speeds I got on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna during our stay were 50Mbps down and 20Mbps up, and we had no issues streaming video. The one speed test I performed on my AT&T phone showed 45Mbps down and 13Mbps up. On a whim, I tried out the campground WiFi the morning we left (a Sunday morning) and only saw 1Mbps up and down, and our site was right across from a WiFi antenna.
The temperatures dropped below freezing one night during our stay: the campground emailed us to let us know when they’d be shutting off the water to safeguard the pipes, then emailed us again to let us know when we could hook up to water again.
We would definitely stay here again if we were...
Read moreMy family and I had a wonderful experience during our stay at Wanderlust RV Park from October 1 to October 29, 2023. Our entire stay was nothing less than FANTASTIC.
The staff at Wanderlust RV Park are AMAZING, elevating our entire experience from check-in to check-out. Their genuine warmth, friendliness, and unwavering dedication to guest satisfaction shone through in every interaction. Whether offering local recommendations, promptly addressing our queries, or simply welcoming us with a smile, the staff's outstanding service truly added a special touch to our stay.
We were in site 60, a stunning and expansive gravel pull-through equipped with full hook-ups, a convenient picnic table, and generous space. The length accommodated our sizable 5th wheel, and the width allowed us to comfortably park both our truck and car beside it, creating a serene and peaceful environment. The well-maintained surroundings added to the overall charm of the park. The views throughout the park are breathtaking and worth watching the sunsets every day!
The amenities offered at the park were truly outstanding, including two impeccably maintained bathhouses with restrooms, a well-equipped laundry room, a seasonal swimming pool, social halls for groups, the option to request a standard fire pit for your site (firewood is available for purchase), or you can choose to rent a solo smokeless firepit for the night. The RV sites are pet friendly, though there is no enclosed dog park, there are large grassy designated areas with bags and trash cans. An additional perk that we highly valued was that the park accepted packages from all carriers at their office and promptly notified us upon their arrival.
*An important aspect worth noting is the park's EV-friendly policy. While you cannot charge your electric vehicle at your individual site, the park offers a dedicated charging area at another site for a nominal fee of $20 per night. This thoughtful accommodation not only caters to environmentally conscious travelers like us, but also reflects the meticulous care and consideration invested in maintaining the park's amenities.
Wanderlust RV Park's location is truly ideal, offering convenient access to local attractions. The bonus of a trolley transportation service, conveniently picking you up at the park and heading to the charming downtown Eureka Springs, proved to be a perfect option. It allowed us to leisurely explore the town, indulging in shopping and enjoying a delightful meal, all without the hassle of driving.
I highly recommend Wanderlust RV Park to fellow travelers seeking a top-tier RV park experience. We would love to go back if we are ever in the area. Thank you to all the Amazing Staff for making our...
