On our visit today, we were pleased to see this coffee shop was aesthetically pleasing when we drove up. We were looking forward to have a great experience in a place where Christ's love was central to the whole experience. So, we parked in the one handicap space as we were the only customers and legally have a handicap tag. However, the owner/ manager didn't even greet us to find out who we were before telling us to move our car as others were going to need that space before darting off in her vehicle. Needless to say, being a visitor for the first time to this area, her greeting was completely offensive, since she didn't know who we are or what our difficulties are as well. The truth is we were greeted in a way the unchurched in our society find so disappointing from a people who are supposed to express Christ's love and grace. The barista was not overly open to conversation, but we did get to talk with her some concerning her younger sister's art which is very good. And she did make a great cup of coffee, so that was nice. The music and ambience of the coffee shop was quiet and nice. We even asked about if they had worship there on Wednesday evening and she said yes, but we weren't encouraged to come. This is so unfortunate for a place that promotes Jesus's name on their sign. I rated this a 3 since in the experience of a coffee shop, it in fact stood strong and was great. However, claiming Jesus but not expressing His love is highly unfortunate. I hope the next time a newcomer shows up at their shop the owner sides on grace and love. We never saw her again and were the only ones in there till they closed. There was one customer who came in and left I believe but never anyone with a more pressing handicap as the owner had implied. For our first visit to the area and being in ministry for a long time, this experience is a stark reminder of how claiming Christ is important but actually showing love and kindness is the evidence...
Read moreBasecamp is a cute little coffee shop just outside of the chaos of downtown Eureka Springs. This was suggested to us when we attempted to go to Eureka springs coffee shop. (We literally could not find parking anywhere near the Eureka Springs Coffee Shop.) First the good. Because it's outside the main drag you will not find nearly the crowds here. This is a nice new building with wood trim and a light airy feel. There were very few people here while we were looking for a quiet place to have lunch. It's really relaxing and beautiful inside. Okay now the not so good. The coffee was just ok. The smoothies are disappointing, pretty sugar-filled drinks that tasted like corn syrup. I can't recommend coming here for food, it is very average. I'd agree with the previous reviewer that didn't recommend the BLT sliders. The guacamole as advertised is homemade, which it may be, but it is nothing special. Everything that we ordered, including baked items, seem like they were straight from the grocery store. A good quality chef or short order cook would quickly change this from a 3 to a 5 star place. It appears to be run by high school or college students. Service is also very slow, especially for a coffee shop. I look forward to coming back when they've upped...
Read moreReally cool coffee shop that’s spacious, inviting and the food is out of this world! Internet is fast and works well with multiple devices and a nice spot for work meetings on zoom. The natural light that comes into this place is amazing. The Bison Burger was amazing, pastries were amazing, coffee was the best my wife and I ever had….I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with the food, we tried a smorgasbord of it all and it just kept amazing our tastebuds!
Cool place to hangout that’s off the beaten path and is connected with nature. Some menu items are pricey, but for good reason, everything we tried on there was phenomenal. Definitely worth a visit if you want a cool Internet cafe spot to hangout at or if you need some quality coffee that makes Starbucks taste like the free coffee at the hotel! Don’t forget to grab you a bite to eat, they have great breakfast and...
