Dollar General — Local services in Eureka Springs

Staff is doing the best they can at this time. The woman working the counter was also stocking shelves in between. I know they are short staffed. She was working hard.

Boxes of cards with “Christmas” written on the side of the box were full price, even though other items were 50% off. I was told the one should ring up 1/2 price as it said Merry Christmas in the message inside. The other box said “ Merry Christmas” on box, but said “Happy Holidays” inside. I was told it wasn’t a Christmas card. It referred to any holiday. (I can’t see giving this card for Valentine’s Day or Easter.) I paid full price for both. There were no signs anywhere telling prices.

I would suggest closing this store an hour earlier so the staff can just stock items. It’s not fair to expect so much from...

Went in to grab a couple of things, was looking at something and my phone rang, I went to grab it from the top of my purse, and the store manager, Vickie, snapped at me, "give me that," I was thoroughly confused and then I realized she was accusing me of stealing! I couldn't believe it, I spend hundreds of dollars in there monthly. I told her I was getting my phone which she realized herself and still she refused to acknowledge she was in the wrong. I had a few colorful words for her and left the store. After sharing my experience to anyone with ears and reading other reviews here it is obvious she does this to many many people. She's unhinged, unprofessional and an unfit store manager. Several people have told me she's done weird and flat out creepy things to them too....

We went to go inside the store on July 15th at 8:50 pm, the employee came to the door and said the store was closed as she unlocked the door to let out a customer, she wouldn’t tell us what time the store actually closes just that the store is closed. We looked at the hours on the door and the signage stated that the store did NOT close until 10 pm. As we were leaving the parking lot we could see other customers she was unlocking the door to let out of the store. Other people were also trying to go into the store and being told they were closed. 8:50 pm seems like an odd closing time. If you need anything I suggest not even attempting to stop here and instead try to make it to the local...
