The night we stayed, we were probably only one of 2 or 3 rooms occupied that night, so it was mostly deserted. My wife found the place scary and didn’t sleep well that night due to her fear. It probably didn’t help that before sleeping, we watched an Investigative Discovery program which happened to be about woman who was kidnapped from a hotel parking lot and murdered.||||Like most other hotels, this one is multi-story (two) and has no elevator. They do have smoking rooms, although we didn’t get one by request.||||This was probably the only hotel we stayed at during our trip where there was nothing wrong with the plumbing. In fact, I thought this place had the best toilet paper of all the hotels we stayed at. The WiFi was weak, but worked, although I did try to explain to the front desk clerk on checkout the proper way to set it up so you didn’t have pick from one of 4 different access points.||||They supposedly offer breakfast, but on the day I was there it was bad. They had cereal, but no milk. Only orange juice or water to drink. Waffles you make yourself were available, but the syrup dispenser was nearly out. It took a while to get enough. No toast, and only a couple of donuts, and I do mean just two. I suppose with only 2 or 3 rooms occupied, they weren’t expecting anyone for breakfast and therefore didn’t make any real effort to have something available.||||When I made my reservations I requested two things, an extra towel and a picture of a cat. The picture request was more of a joke than a serious request, but the towel was not. They...
Read moreComing from a big city with 5-star hotels to a small town, this was luxury. My room was clean! I have OCD, so before paying, I asked to see the room because I had visited a nearby hotel in the area their rooms had mold and leaking AC units that caused the floors to be saturated with water; the hotel attendant Ami Patel at Econo lodge was very friendly, and she understood my frustration and allowed me to see the room I would be checking into, she locked her lobby and walked with me over to the room. I pulled back the bed; I checked everywhere, including the bathroom, and the room was clean with a fresh scent. I was excited. I said I take it. She gave me directions around the city and told me if I needed anything to dial zero, and she would help me. They have an excellent complimentary breakfast; the park is less than 5mins away. I exercised. I had everything I needed. The staff was friendly; they serviced my room during my stay, and I was 100% satisfied. When I checked out of the room, I left the housekeepers a tip, and I thanked Ami Patel again; she gave me directions to the interstate to head to the airport. As I was driving 40 mins, Ami called and said I had left my perfume; I was shocked! it was an expensive perfume bottle; I told her to keep it or give it to my housekeeper. I have many investing projects im working on in Evergreen Al, I will definitely recommend them, and I will return...
Read moreI’ve never left a bad review until now. Don’t get me wrong, the rooms itself were as good as expected, but the lady that works the desk at night was a b**.
I went up there because my card wasn’t working. This was a little after 8pm. I could see her sitting at the night window so I walked up to it. I’m looking at her and she just glances at me with a disgusted look on her face. I kept standing there thanking she would get up and help me but she continued to sit there, occasionally shooting me a “go to hell” look. Finally she shot her eyes at the door like as to say “come in, dumbass”. I notice the sign on the door says that the door is locked at 8:30, about 15 minutes till. My bad. I walk in and tell her that I’m sorry, I thought the door was locked earlier. She says “nope” in a very condescending way. After she reset my card she pretty much slings it across the counter without saying anything. I just walked out without saying anything.
I travel for work and stay in the are like 5 days out of the month. I usually stay up the road but thought I would give this place a try, never again. When I checked in, the Indian lady was really nice, but the lady that works...
