Magnuson Grand Harrisburg — Hotel in Fairview Township

I went to this place of business wanting to get a room for the night the very rude lady at the front desk says we don’t have any rooms we’re all booked up for the weekend so I call the same place back and talk to the same lady on the phone and asked if they have any rooms tonite she says sure we have rooms for $61.00 a nite

The point I’m making is in person she’s looking at me seeing I’m a black man but doesn’t have any available rooms to n my face but not seeing my face over the phone she now has rooms for the $61.00 nightly. This is nothing but racism so I call and talk to the supposed to be manager and tell him what took place and the first thing he says is she is gone until Monday now off work but says that wasn’t the case so basically he did nothing but cover up what she said to make it sound like it was just a big mistake that she was super busy

Awesome staff great room. Offers hikers discount. Same price you would pay for most hostels. The staff here are so genuinely kind and helpful the rooms big and clean and super comfortable. By far the best experience I've had since I've been on the road and you cannot beat the price! They have a bar restaurant and comedy club and even offer room service. They allow pets for a small fee. These are the kind of people that will help you out, if you are traveling and looking for a great deal and a comfortable clean place to go you cannot get any better than this motel! Its not in a bad area either and is located right off the interstate. If I'm in the area again this is the only motel I'd stay at and highly recommend it! For a hotel attached to a bar & grill & event space, this was a very nice and pleasant place to stay. The rooms were nothing fancy, but who cares, they were very clean, as quiet as one could reasonably expect, and you could tell they kept up with the air filters for the HVAC. Some of the outlets were a little loose and the stuff we plugged into them kept popping out, and the mattresses feel like they're getting into the back half of their useful lifespan, but for the way the rooms were priced, those were smaller things that are further down the list of stuff that actually matters.
