Went to Boomerang to see the comedy show tonight at Comedy Zone. We are regulars. We walked in and we're greeted by the same hostess as usual. She said she'd "find us a waitress." After 15 minutes, I had to wave a waitress over and tell her we didn't have a waitress. She took our drink order and brought the drinks out with no straws. I walked up to the bar to get straws and an extra glass of ice. She took our food order. I ordered the chicken schwarma fusion, which described it as chicken rubbed in spices with a white garlic sauce served over basmati rice and with a butter naan. My husband ordered the firecracker shrimp with an order of French fries. It took a little while to receive our food but the waitress did ask about drink refills while we were waiting. When we got our meals, my meal was completely covered in the same red chile firecracker sauce that was on my husband's shrimp, but it had a lot of the sauce, more than his shrimp. My chicken schwarma meal was so spicy that neither one of us could eat it, even my husband who ordered the firecracker shrimp. I ate the naan and nothing else. The rice was completely soaked in the sauce. The waitress never came back to us to check in until after my husband was done eating. We had 10 minutes until the comedy show, so no, I didn't have time to order a new meal. I told her that was not what I ordered and that I couldn't eat it because it was so spicy. I asked her if the red chile sauce was in the description on the menu like it was for the firecracker shrimp because I wouldn't have ordered it if it had been. She said she was sorry and then asked if I wanted a box for it. I was thinking are you completely crazy? No, I just told you that it was not what the menu described and it was too spicy for me to eat more than 3 bites. She took the plate and never said another word about it. I doubt she took it back to the kitchen to show them what I received vs. what was on the menu. No refund was offered. We did ask for one more drink refill after thar, and she brought out a diet Pepsi instead of a regular Pepsi. Another time that we were here over a year ago, I ordered the lasagna, which had meat sauce in the description. When I got it, it was made with brisket meat, not regular ground beef. Lesson learned...don't order the specials because the chef is not following the menu description and is doing whatever is easiest and most cost effective. That time, they did discount our check. We won't ever be coming back to Boomerang restaurant unless they reach out to us concerning a refund for the chicken schwarma meal. We have a copy of the receipt if they do. It's a shame because we enjoy the comedy shows at Comedy Zone. The comedy show was...
Read moreI went here a couple years ago and the experience was so amazing and food was so good. But last night was probably the worst experience in the dinning side. We had rented the private room which is not completely private they have other party’s which was fine. But we had a group of 15 and had 3 separate tables. So the whole party wasn’t together. Then the food came out they tired to serve it to the wrong tables and instead of finding the right table they sat all of our food on the bar for at least 20-30 mins. So yes our food was really cold by the time we got it. I ordered the smoked salmon so even served cold it was not bad. Some of our party order wings and wings cold are not as good. We also ordered drinks and I had ordered a double of crown apple and Pepsi they brought out a single and looked like it was a light brown and I sipped it and realized it was not my drink. She took it back and then brought that same drink out and served it to the other table I told them before they drank it I had sipped it so they could return it. She was like oh you drank out of it. Yes I was talking catching up that I didn’t realize at first it was not my drink. I thought that was the most unprofessional to served the wrong drink then bring the same drink out and give it to someone else. I was just mind blown and I know the waitress was doing her best and she was super nice. The manager at first wouldn’t come out and talk with us. They did nothing to try and fix the problem but offered dessert or tickets to the show that we already had. At that point it was just insulting. The waitress finally did convince the manager to come out and talk because we weren’t backing down. She did fix the one of our party’s for their cold food. I honestly didn’t care I know it’s a business so I was like I’ll pay for it but I was very disappointed. We had also got tickets for the comedy show and that definitely made up for it. I would recommend not eating there but definitely check...
Read moreMy husband and I, plus our two very close and longtime friends, stopped into Boomerang Bar & Grill for the first time tonight for supper. We just happened to choose this restaurant on a whim.
To say we were welcomed and made to feel like we go there are the time, well that's an understatement!!
The young lady who took care of us, Jessica, was a sweetheart from the moment she greeted us to the moment we left. She was so attentive, with the most wonderful personality! We all chatted with Jessica and felt like we had known her for years! If there has ever been a place where you've wanted to go that felt like CHEERS, this was it!! Jessica explained the setup... It's A HUGE PLACE, something you could never expect from the outside. Happening, while we ate, was a comedy show not far from us, but far enough, and out of our view. We were very curious to go look but we were all tired from the long drive that day. There's also the coolest looking patio you've ever seen. A gaming room. And more!! Instead of looking around, though, we ate! Lol! And the food Jessica brought to us was magnificent! Our starter was the steakhouse nachos - all 4 of us gobbled it up - it was so unique and so yummy!! Mike and Murray had the fish & chips and said it was sooo good, Leigh-Anne ordered their Boomerang Burger and loved every bite, and I started with their side-dish salad - which was so fresh!! — and then ordered their two grilled chicken breast with Hawaiian marinade (magnificent!) and their delicious mashed potatoes with gravy!! We were full!! We had a few minutes to chat with Jessica, and the fact that she made all of us feel like we've been there over and over was the 'icing on the cake'!!
Each one of us HIGHLY RECOMMENDS you make the effort to stop here, whether you're on your way north or south!, because you will feel like you've just been to Cheers - especially if Jessica takes care of...
