Very old dated property.
Little to no water pressure in shower. Handle was really loose so you had to be very careful turning on/off so the handle didn't come off in your hand.
One small piece of soap. Luckily I bring all my own supplies - this location offers little in the way of hygiene or coffee supplies.
Very old worn out and stained towels. But they were clean.
Bed was old and mattress was road hard - bedding was extremely old worn stained but clean.
Lighting and furniture was sparse - but workable. Not ideal if you have to do any sort of business meeting/online work, but managed with a battery operated lamp from my car.
Parking lot is weird shape and was dodgy at night. The layout means your door opens into unlit areas - as solo traveler this was a little disconcerting for me.
They offer some sort of "food" in lobby but I wasn't able to see it due to my hours.
If you have to stay in Fallon for a long duration - weeks, months, etc. this probably isn't the place. One night, passing through - this is sufficient.
Laundry room appears to be newer than everywhere else, however, the availability for laundry was never good for me. Worked a 7am-7pm shift for three weeks so I couldn't find a window when I could get two loads done.
Fallon itself is generally not a walkable town - large spread out. From this hotel, you can walk to a couple of places but not ideal without a vehicle.
Internet was slow - ended up using my phone for most of my business internet services because I can't have spotty internet service during a meeting.
Absolutely no views of anything but parking lot. Rooms are very old, old weird windows and window coverings do not provide any sort of sound damping or protection. I blocked door (with chair and my rolling bag) every night because the lock only had one screw in it - that wasn't all the way into the frame for anchoring. I know everyone says "but it is Fallon" -- just general security for a solo...
Read moreGross. Nothing like the pictures. It’s the econo lodge so expectation aren’t high but this place was a low. I would give it one star the price is reasonable… barely. First there was a bat hanging around the outside of my room, I had to wait for it to leave before I opened the door, it’s not really a ding on the hotel because it’s just nature. As I walk into the room the first thing I notice is the light switch is blocked by a power cord. I would unplug it but who knows what riff raff is around here. So I close the door and I still get light into the room, what nonsense is this where the door doesn’t reach the floor! Let me close the curtains, we’ll those don’t close all the way. Great.. who doesn’t enjoy street lights shinning into the room all night…I do not! Everything is just not feeling great so far I realize there vinyl is a recent update but I would still like a rug or something soft to walk on. Maybe the improvements are not finished because there were many vinyl tiles just laying there not connected. This is a terrible floor update. The subfloor isn’t level and it is very apparent with these floors. I made the same mistake in my house and fixed it because it does not feel good at all. Updating the carpet would have been a better choice, but maybe water seeping from the HUGE gap under door doesn’t do well with carpet. Time to shower… a hot and cold knob? We are decades past this. Maybe make some improvements here too. Makes me wonder how bad the floors were if they were changed before the plumbing. This place doesn’t have to be this bad. Clean up the floor issues, make some electrical improvements for your cameras, update the bath to this century. Small details, maybe put in around $500-$1000 of improvements into each room and this place would be worth every penny. Right now it just feels and looks icky. I do not recommend this place as...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible experience. I never leave 1 star reviews, but this place really deserves it.
The girl in office is amazingly rude. Took 15 minutes doing who knows what on the computer, and when we finally asked what’s up, she said she couldn’t use the card on file. So we gave her a new one, no problem. Not sure why she couldn’t just ask.
She then gave us a key which didn’t work. When my boyfriend told her about it, she made a new key that didn’t work. We asked for another room, one we could open, and she claimed the hotel was sold out, even though the parking lot was less than a quarter full. She reluctantly came to change the battery in the door, and gave attitude the whole time as if we had crazy expectations to be able to get into the room we were given. Oh, and before she did, she first tried to tell us we’re trying the wrong room, and opened the door next to ours, which had people in there ( who became worried they owed her something).
She didn’t like being called out on lying about being sold out, so she claimed Priceline posted lower priced than they actually have (like she’s doing us a favor letting us stay at the posted price, and said we rudely suggested if we don’t like it we can find another hotel). I don’t know why lie further, because all the prices posted on Google were the same, and Priceline was no exception.
Crumbs in bed Microwave dirty Top drawer dirty with crumbs Shower smells like bacteria 1 regular, 1 decaf coffee for 2 people to fight over
And the cherry on top of this nightmare? Priceline had already charged us for the room, so the girl at the front desk double charged us…. Twice. One of those extra charges disappeared within a weed, the other was pending for weeks, then disappeared… so it required tracking for a possible...
