May 5 2018 at 3:15pm I checked in at the front desk! The young man at the front desk was very rude and lacked customer service skills. There was an issue at the time of payment. The young man ran my card for a payment that was higher than what was reserved which caused my card to decline. He was trying to place a $50 incidental hold! I have been a Hilton rewards member for awhile Now and use membership in and out of town very frequently and never ran into a problem with a $50 incidental fee ! When I questioned the amount he replied "Be Glad you getting a room!" I felt INSULTED! There was no one standing behind me and the Hotel was NOT sold out! He ended up suggesting he hold my card for the $50 incidental fee AND I pay cash the NEXT DAY AT CHECK OUT! About 30mins later I get a notification on my phone indicating my card had been charged $61.18 by Hampton Inn! So I called a Lady That Works There To Resolve The Issue When She Got There The Next Day! The Next Day I was told i would be Refunded 100% Guaranteed and it will appear Back On My Card! Well ANOTHER Transaction was placed on my card by Hampton Inn For $58.28! So I Called Back Up There After I Checked Out And The lady said wait 24hours-72 hours ! Lets Just Say... IM STILL WAITING! I Called Coperate Yesterday, Maybe They Will Move Quicker! Other Than That The Room was very...
Read moreWe stayed at the Hampton for a baseball tournament. Like a previous review stated, there was a terrible smell upon entering the hotel. No one from the hotel addressed the smell or the situation. We were on the 3rd floor where the smell was worse. Children and parents became ill over the next few days; vomiting, diarrhea, headaches, etc. A city official at our tournament approached us and told us about the softball team who had stayed a week earlier. When I called the GM of the hotel to address the issue, he told me I was lying, that there was no smell, and the info regarding the softball team wasn’t true. Other parents tried to call the GM. He would not return phone calls or refused to speak to them. The final straw was when sewage water started coming up in tubs and a couple of rooms flooded. When we tried to check out, we were told we could not check out. The lady at the front desk was trying to be helpful, but had a supervisor who kept calling her, but the supervisor would not speak to us. We asked to check out and get our receipts and the hotel refused. We finally received our final bill the day after we left the hotel. I have contacted Hampton/Hilton and they have refused to address the issue and keep sending me back to the GM. It is a shame that a hotel knowingly allows people to stay on their property aware that there are...
Read moreWorked all night the previous night and was up teaching during that day, arrived around 3:30 pm to sleep but was unable to because of constant noise (apparently construction). Expected to get to the hotel and immediately get some rest. Was not told anything about construction when the reservation was made nor when I checked in. After laying there for over an hour I tried to call the front desk but the phone in the room had no dial tone. I tried to call the front desk from my cell phone but the call would not go through multiple times. I then got dressed and walked down to the front desk at which time I was told the phones were down and he could not do anything about the construction and he couldn't move me. I went back up and tried to sleep but was unable to. I then called the Hilton Customer Service line who said they called the front desk and was told the construction noise should stop around 6 pm or a little after. She stated that if it didn't they would attempt to move me to another Hilton property. Needless to say, I was so upset and worked up at that point it was difficult to go to sleep. I was exhausted the next day and unable to really focus on the classes I was there to conduct. This is one of the worse experiences I have had at any...
