Waffle House — Restaurant in Florence

If you don't really have to go I would not recommend going to this place or any waffle house for that matter. They never remodel them and they are just nasty usually from my experience. So I've had a lot of weird experiences here. Once I was going to have a server that was nasty so I moved to another seat and it was very cold so I moved across the room. The server then told me she would be right with me and she knows me and she even asked out loud in front of other customers "Neit, are you going to be good to me today?" I was thinking why did she just call out my name like I want folk to know my name in here...so I responded crazily...I said "IDK" then she had the nerve to respond back with "You better be good!" I was ready to leave cause she was being rude trying to make it seem like I'm a trouble maker cause she knows of me and she don't just know me or us cool with it anything. Very distasteful. So a guy that I grew up with came in and he asked me to sit with him so now she has cleaned off the area after waiting for so long. But I got up to sit with him so I didn't have to sit alone. So about 5 minutes later he goes to the restroom. But I was still in her section. Then he comes back at the same time and now she is upset cause she has to clean off this area now. So she says"Neit you done moved several times, are you going to stay here?" I didn't respond immediately cause I was pissed from earlier. So she starts getting loud and rude. I just looked at her in disgust. Then he is sitting down as she starts cleaning. She starts acting like my momma and saying, "now you need to make up your mind where you are going to sit" then I responded after she is clearly talking mad noise to me..."I said its ok that I moved, everything is ok." Then she said..."No its not! We don't have time to be cleaning out places for you to sit down. We have other customers and we are very busy." I'm thinking to myself aren't y'all supposed to keep the place clean anyway. But I just stop responding...so this is my frustration outlet cause she actually had to be calmed down cause she was getting mad when I stopped responding back. So I do not recommend this place. Eat at your own risk. There is an old white lady in there that always licks her fingers when she goes through her tickets. That very nasty and I know a health violation. The only reason I would go here is if its to sit and talk. I don't want to order anything on account of the nasty servers I have encountered. But its about the only place available late at night if you want to sit down. I didn't eat anything on this particular visit just sat with someone I knew. Again eat at your own risk. I would rate lower but that option is not available right now. Check their number out it is...

Okay, I'm sorry if this comes out as bad as it may sound... I like the food here BUT.... Good luck coming here in the evening. There is no place to sit ever not because their full they just pull out social distancing at night for the seating . Tonight was something more special "Take out only". I then got to witness about a dozen people come in and leave. Families and couples all coming for a bite to eat at around 10p.m. but not here the establishment that claims to be open 24/7 365. is definitely not. The past couple months they have been closed without warning ( no inclement weather either ). I also hate the fact that the servers are paid so low and are dependent upon tips. So when they make it to go only that hinders their ability to make decent money rather than 2.25 an hour. But who am I just an individual that comes in from time to time when I can tolerate the nasty store and the slow service. A shout out to to Shayia I believe that's how you spell it...she was a one woman show! She took all the orders and then began to cook the orders all without any help from her co-workers.5 Star ⭐⭐⭐s for her! This place lacks leadership and management. I worked at a waffle house before... The issues here are not only the employee's fault they stem from the management side of things. Try better guy's. This review is not just from today it's from multiple chances to have this particular waffle house provide decent service so...

The service recently has been terrible. Was in about 130 or so and a group of employees were at a table LOUD. When u walk in they all look at you like why are you there. Me and my fiance walked to a table and noticed ALL the tables were gross and dirty even the seats. Sat down and we both looked at each other like....ehhh we should leave. One of the servers eyed my fiance and didnt even move. Didnt even get silverware or anything. and was so unwanted and very awkwardly there like we were a disgrace of showing up to eat. We exited and left without ordering. And no employee even talked to us. Please keep in mind no other customer was there. Just the employees and me and my fiance. Very uncomfortable and very awkward like u...
