I tried to contact Radisson directly because I do understand that sometimes businesses actually want your feedback to improve. l've now tried THREE different ways to send feedback directly, all of which have failed, signaling that this may be a larger brand issue.|During my last attempt, I filled out the entire form and then clicked submit... and nothing happened. I'm done.||I am currently staying at the Fond du Lac, WI location. ||The good:|Brianna at check-in was lovely, Donna & Megan at Benvenuto’s were outstanding and the dinner was good. I just asked one of the housekeeping staff for replacement sheets (since it smells like the ones I have were previously used) and she was friendly and accommodating.||But there have been several issues.||The bad:|1) As mentioned above, the Radisson contact form’s City drop-down menu is broken on the Radisson site|2) The guest survey QR code received at check-in leads to a deleted file. As a customer, this makes it look like Radisson isn’t interested in feedback. Personally, I was trying to use these links to avoid leaving a bad review, but I became very tempted after it was so difficult to contact customer service|3) I was put in a pet friendly room without notification. This is fine for me, but there may be guests with allergies that this could be a severe problem for.|4) every hot water dispenser had coffee-flavored, brown water. Carafes should be dedicated to prevent cross-contamination|5) Breakfast: 1. Almost every single prepackaged option (Yogurt, peanut butter, jam, etc.) contains high fructose corn syrup. Like a huge number of Americans, I avoid this for health reasons. 2. At 7 AM, the eggs were already dry and unappealing. I tried them anyway, and they tasted very odd. I gave up on breakfast.|6) One of my pillows smelled terrible, like it had been used but the pillowcase had not replaced. Delivery of the replacement was unfriendly and curt. Once the smelly pillow was gone, I could smell the rest of the set. As I mentioned above, replacement was easy and much friendlier.|7) finally, clicking the link to read the privacy policy before completing the feedback form on Radisson’s contact site ERASES the entire form. Upon returning to the page, the format of the survey also changed.||And, of, course, when I tried to submit feedback on the third Radisson page, nothing happened.|As a guest, I am again getting the messaging that Radisson doesn’t value guest feedback, which is a shame since I clearly made a huge effort to avoid leaving...
Read moreHonestly, I do not know where to begin. First, when I reserved my room, I requested the extended stay king suite. I live and work on the road, and I am often staying long term. When I arrived for check-in, they were out of the extended stay King suite rooms. I was told I needed to talk to the manger in the morning to see what he could do. I talked to him in the morning, and he said he would not be able to get us in the original requested room. My wife and I said we were comfortable and would make the room they had work for us. Next, the house keeping. Obviously since COVID 19 rooms are not getting cleaned daily. I get it. However, our room was not touched for the 17 days. At that point I went to the front desk and asked if they could vacuum and replace towels and sheets since we had been catching housekeeping in the hall to restock supplies. They said they would. It didn't happen. I asked the front desk the following day. Same result. I talked to the office manager Ryan the next day and he said he would make sure it would happen. Again, same result. Finally, I called the district manager and she said she would make it happen. It took five days total to get the room serviced. I asked Ryan if they were short staffed. He literally stated "no, we have a full staff. I have no idea what is going on." FROM A MANAGER. I was extremely polite the entire time. On another note, the housekeepers are awfully loud and obnoxious. Additionally, they smoke marijuana in the rooms at the hotel which they are staying at as well and occasionally outside in their cars parked right by the exit doors. I witnessed them smoking cigarettes in the hotel hall by the doors. They would take a drag and exhale in the hallway and then hold the cigarette outside; I know it is cold here but come on. Finally, "office manager Ryan" couldn't even provide me with a receipt of what was charged between the last time I squared up our room and the time we checked out which I need for work. When I explained to him what I needed, he got snippy and rude with me. Literally the only good things about this hotel are the front desk lady Gina and the waitresses at the restaurant and bar. If you want a room that is 100 times nicer and a well behaved and courteous staff, The Holiday Inn Express directly across the parking lot will better suit any short or long-term stays. My wife and I are patient people and really tried to give this hotel and staff the benefit of the doubt, but we will not recommend this...
Read moreAlright convenience of the hotel was nice. It was in a decent spot. The check-in staff, the young lady at the desk was very nice and personable. It was an easy check-in process.
The room was subpar. For the 140 a night (I get it was the weekend) the bathroom could have been cleaner and nicer. The corners were dirty. Chipping wall. Walked into a spider hanging out in the complimentary soaps. The nightstands were cracked and had a slope to them so everything including cell phones just slid right off lmao. It was irritating to find a phone alarm going off on the floor. The air conditioner was tucked, had to keep it running all night just to breathe and not be hot. Left the hotel room for the day for our business events and came back to no room service done, but someone was clearly in the room, The air conditioning fan was turned clean off so the room was hot. Not sure why hotels are doing the no-room service thing that happens at hotels more and more. Clean towels etc would be nice, especially for what you're paying.
The bed itself was completely soft and cloudy. If that's your type of bed you won the lottery for those of us who like firmer beds it was not a good sleep at all. You tossed and turned due to how sunk in the bed was.
There was a pool there etc but didn't use it due to a work event and no time.
There is a bar and restaurant there at the hotel. The bar staff was very nice and courteous. Don't order a martini though, they aren't trained and don't have the ingredients to make it correctly. We got the delicious spinach dip and split a pizza between us which wasn't huge but good for two people and it wasn't too bad. Definitely needs more flavor on the crust. The desert brownie with salted caramel brandy on it was delicious. The mixed reviews on the restaurant were daunting. I almost didn't try it but it was worth it. But be warned it is pricey and expensive. For the two of us, it was a 60-dollar dinner including the two liquor drinks.
I would definitely try other hotels around the area if I return for business. But this hotel will he saved as I would def return in a pinch. I just hope they upgrade just a tad...
