This may be lengthy but considering the experience, feel others need to be made aware. For starters, after traveling for several hours, and it being late at night, my friend and I chose to stop, for the night, as we were both too exhausted to continue to drive. When we arrived it was dark so not able to get a good look at the area. I was charged $110 for 1 night, which was double what advertising states for this hotel. We stayed at this location on Sunday night, 9/4/2022 in Rm#129. At first it appeared moderately okay, but right away it smelled as if Cheech and Chong had stayed held up in the room for a solid month. The furniture looked as if it had been dug out of the dumpster. Speaking of which, we were parked in back and there was furniture outside everywhere when we left the next morning. There were crumbled cookies in the floor, and flies in the bathtub. And we also discovered blood on the mattress cover that we did not see til later. And nail polish all in the bathroom floor, as well as cigarette burns on the side of the tub. We hesitantly stayed due to exhaustion, and pouring down rain. Not to leave out, the noises we heard throughout the night and glass breaking, left us a little frightened to leave in the middle of the night. The only positive I have from this is I will never stay at an Econo Lodge again, and the front desk clerk was nice. I felt sorry for him that he worked there.

I got caught in the snow and was in a rush to get off the road. I saw this was close and the photos online looked good. I knew it wasn’t a 5 star hotel but I expected it to be clean… I always pull the sheets back and take a look anywhere I stay. Well when I did I saw a cake wrapper and crumbs everywhere. The walls and appliances had something spilled all over them. The whole floor was sticky. Not to mention I made eye contact with someone who was standing in front of my window and then they tried to come in my room. The fellow in the office came back to the room to take a look and just wow. I pulled the sheets up to show him the trash and crumbs. He then tells me it’s clean. I point out the crumbs and he throws the sheet back down and says “see it’s clean. Why did you even pull it up?” Then I pointed out the walls and the sticky floor. He offered to give me a different room but his lack of care didn’t convince me that another room would be better. I asked for a refund to go somewhere else and he tells me that the 10 minute window for a refund had passed. Well yeah it passed. You spent that time trying to convince me that nothing was wrong with the room. There are plenty of other reasonably priced and clean hotel rooms up the road! I ended up driving a few minutes up the road and stayed at the LaQuinta Inn for an extra $37.

This location grossly threw the warm Telephone greeting and policy overview for early arrival guest in the trash when it neglected to mention a $30 Check-ins fee; non-refundable :-/ , due at Arrival. I was given no idea or notice in any confirmation about any additional hotep..hotel fees. hotel.. I hope to have a better experience next time. This was ..it was piss poor performance in the function of customer service, grace, and common courtesy to state your cost up-front. Beforehand. Before you snatch the money from my account and close the modification window to ensure I get charged even if I cancel Or modify. Get better, communicate effectively...hire Trained Employees!

Let me give a very honest review of this place:

Pros: Very friendly staff! They're doing the best with what they've got. Check in was quick and easy. Air conditioner was already on when I entered the room, which I was grateful for after being in the Atlanta heat. Room cooled very fast. Room was decently clean. Floors actually looked like they'd been swept and surfaces wiped down. Tub was fine. (Although there was what appeared to be gum stuck to the floor.) Shower got hot, although pressure was nothing to write home about; it was more than a trickle. Microwave and refrigerator in room, which a lot of hotels don't offer anymore. Sheets, blanket, and pillow case looked clean, although there was no proper comforter provided, just an old thin blanket. Room didn't smell like anything, no smoke or bad smells when I walked in. All the lights worked in the room, no bulbs out. Plenty of desk/workspace. Lots of outlets, although some were too loose to hold a cord. No bugs at all. Earlier check in time than most hotels (2pm), and later check out (11am) as well.

Cons: Hotel on the ATL airport site and Google both advertised a shuttle, but this hotel doesn't actually have one. Room wasn't properly stocked with shampoo and conditioner, just a tiny individual packet of shampoo. Towels are super thin and not full size. Hotel is extremely dated and shows its age. This place could improve a lot with some maintenance TLC. Weird stains on walls, loose outlets, scratched up floors, scratched up doors. As others have said, chairs in the rooms are old and stained and look like they came from a dumpster. They should just remove them, they're an unusable eyesore that brings down the room. Noisy. This place is close to a busy road. There are a lot of trucks and cars that travel the route outside the hotel. The room door wasn't fitted properly so it allowed a lot of sound in. Smells like marijuana all over the property, which, due to the door situation (see photos) allows it to leak into rooms as well. Toilet paper roll was low with no extra provided. Had to go to front desk to ask for another roll. Wifi was spotty, but worked most of the time. No smoke alarm in room, just a hole in the ceiling where it should have been. Weird burns in the bathroom counter, but those aren't easy to just replace. Water stains on the tub walls, like they didn't fully wipe it down. Not sure if this is typical, but there was a screaming match with some other guests at 2am, which woke me up. Very unpleasant.

I didn't check out the breakfast or try the TV, so no comments there. Overall a very cheap place to stay, but not easy to get to if you don't have your own vehicle. Good for resting and cleaning up and...

So me and my best friend arrived here and when I got to my room, there was only one bed in the room. I went back to the desk clerk and told him about this and he said that's all I asked for. I said oh no I asked for a room with 2 beds. He insisted that I did not ask for a room with 2 beds and he also said to me don't argue with me. Then I asked him about getting room with 2 beds and he told me it would cost me money. Which surprised me because I had paid for this room with hotel points. I said why should it cost me money I paid for this with my points. He told me I could go in the room and I could call choice hotels and straighten this out. Which I did not have time for Because of an appointment that had to be kept right at that very moment. Then he asked me to see my phone so I could show him my confirmation and sure enough he was proven wrong by my email saying I requested too beds. Well I guess that pissed him off because then he stuck me and my best friend, 2 old ladies with bad backs up on a second floor. He said it would take 2 hours for someone to clean the room. We had the drag our wheeled luggage up 2 flights of steps to get to our room. Why wasn't there a Bed with 2 rooms already waiting for my arrival?|| But wait there's more!||||It gets worse! Let me tell you all about the filth in this room. There was a clump of somebody's hair on a towel, there was stains on the bedspread & even if I had a dog I would not let it on the chair in the room that was completely filthy rotten dirty. The frame around the bathroom mirror & faucet was covered in dirty water spots, both the dresser top & top of the desk was also filthy rotten dirty as well. The microwave and refrigerator, they were just as dirty as everything else in the room along with the lamp shade which also had holes in it. There was no coffee, there was no closet, there was no luggage racks & there was no safety chain on the door. & Oh, the toilet seat was busted too. I had to secure the nut & bolt underneath to keep the seat from sliding off..|||| I called Choice Hotel & told them they should be ashamed that this hotel is part of their...
