We were heading up to Pinetop to watch Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers & The Railbenders at The Lion’s Den Bar & Grill, but didn’t want to drive. The bar had limited parking, so we wanted something close. We found the Corduroy Lodge by mistake online, and were hoping to get a cabin, since we aren’t RV type people. The only availability was the Airstream Camper, so we reluctantly booked it.
The day of checking, we received a detailed text with all the information for the unit we were in, Wi-Fi info, details of the unit, the do’s and don’ts, and other information.
We found the Corduroy Lodge easily, and pulled into the driveway. We found our unit and were met by Charles, the friendly on site staff, that educated us on our 1947 Airstream unit, along with other local information that we asked about. We took a short siesta in the spacious unit. The bar was a 7 minute walk, which was perfect, and we headed out to the concert.
After the concert was over we headed back to the Corduroy Lodge, and crashed for the night. We grabbed a drink out on our patio, by our own fire pit and charcoal grill (that we did not use but was cool to have available). The blankets were thick, the bed comfortable, and we were pleasantly surprised. We would definitely stay here again due to location, cleanliness of the unit and surrounding areas, and helpful staff. Not a 5 star hotel in the Pines, but it's one of those places we tried and liked, so we will...

We had a deeply unsettling experience at this property. After one of our group left in our only vehicle, an employee walked into our cabin without knocking or announcing herself—while I was inside with my young daughter. When I told her both doors were part of our suite, she ignored me and walked away without a word. It felt like she assumed the cabin was empty and was possibly trying to enter unnoticed.
We reported it, and the manager initially promised a refund, which led us to pack up early and go to another hotel. But later, they denied the refund and downplayed the situation as a “simple mistake.”
A staff member entering a guest’s room uninvited is a serious breach of trust, not a small error. The lack of accountability and professionalism is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here if you value privacy, safety, or honest customer service.
Furthermore, the beds are uncomfortable, the cabins are in disrepair, and there is a beer garden next door that has loud karaoke all day and until 2am, I would recommend somewhere else if your looking for a quite relaxing experience in pinetop. These are basically party cabins with...
Read moreDisappointed. Was looking forward to a fall weekend getaway in a cute little cabin with my husband and baby, but was extremely disappointed with the Los Burros Cabin (cabin 2). CONS -Cleanliness: Hair and eyelash extensions in the bathtub, live spiders and webs in the bathroom, dust along the ledges of the molding, water in the French press, food scraps in the container on the counter, dead spiders in the cabinets with the plates and cutting board, dirty cups. -Microwave: Had a microwave, but the dishes WERE NOT MICROWAVE SAFE AS THEY WERE MADE OF METAL. -Fridge: Fridge for storing leftovers but no saran wrap or Ziploc baggies if you did happen to make food with their stovetop. -Neighbors: This property is right new to a German Restaurant that has a DJ and plays music like it's a wedding reception. So...not quiet and cool to hang out between like 4pm-8pm. Overall, I would NOT recommend. It's like house hunting when things look good in the pictures but in person you realize everything is bad and they just put a fresh coat of paint on everything. We did stay the two nights, but I promptly went home to finally shower and washed every single...
