Best coffee on the mountain! The owners are passionate about coffee and customer service, and it shows in everything they do. They roast their own beans, and the coffee is delicious! In addition to a great selection of roasted coffee, espresso, and the usual coffee shop offerings, they also have frappes, smoothies, several varieties of lemonade, hot chocolate, cider (in the winter), some really excellent teas (iced and hot), and bagels. So you can get drinks for the whole family - my kids love the Desert Pear frozen lemonade.
As great as the coffee is, I can't say enough about great the owners are. Any negative reviews of this place are either old, referring to a previous owner, or from cranky people with ridiculous expectations. Mike and Linda greet their customers by name. Assuming it isn't busy, they'll chat with you, ask where you're from, and make a sincere effort to get to know you. They actually care that you stopped by. The second time I went in the shop, I messed up and ordered a hot drink instead of iced. I mentioned that I forgot and it was not a big deal. Two minutes later they brought me a second drink, iced and on the house. I'm not suggesting you should expect free drinks, but these are the kind of people I like to do business with, genuinely kind.
To put all of this in context, I have spent HOURS in this shop working on my laptop, and I've had GALLONS of their coffee and teas. I've been to every coffee shop in Pinetop, and I challenge you to find better coffee or nicer people on the mountain!

Read moreWe moved up to the Mountain from San Tan Valley the first of March 2021. We are originally from Washington State where you can't throw a rock without hitting a coffee shop in the head. We are coffee snobs and love great coffee.
We began our search for our new coffee home, trying shop after shop. I drink decaf Americano and every one I tried I could literally see the bottom of the cup when it was served to me and it was bland. In early June we stopped into Pinetop Coffee House.
We hit the trifecta! They roast their beans in house, the service was wonderful and I was served the BEST decaf Americano I think I've ever tasted. And no, I couldn't see the bottom of my cup - plus it was topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean. This became our coffee house home from that day on. Mke, Linda and Faith are the best on the Mountain!
We hadn't been out to coffee on a regular basis in several years. We increased our patronage to every couple of weeks to every Sunday if we're in town. It's our after church Sunday date.
The first of September I asked if they roasted their decaf. But of coarse they did, silly me. I purchased a bag and now I have my little piece of heaven every morning in the comfort of my own home. However, somehow, when Mike makes mine at the shop it's just a wee bit better than mine at home. Is it the magic Mike touch, that someone made it for me or the chocolate covered espresso bean? I think it's all three!
Thank you Mike and Linda for the best...
Read moreIm very sad to post this review. Me and my family have been coming to Pinetop since we were kids. We visit at least 3 times a year. Every year we look forward to hitting up our regular local spots. One of them was the Pinetop Coffee House. Sadly today will be our last time visiting this shop. The service has just gone downhill. The owners seem to be annoyed with business and maybe just burnt out? The past few times they seem to have been frustrated with our orders and business and rush our order or make us feel bad for being there close to closing time. I let those times go maybe just a bad day or something? Well, today I was embarrassed in front of all the patrons at this place. I ordered 3 Iced coffees ( decaf, half caf with almond milk etc.) The owner rudely stated loudly enough for all to hear "You just have to be difficult dont you?!" Then proceeded to say sarcastically "Im sure the line of people standing behind you dont mind." Tried to back track and say oh we are here to serve you. Never have I felt so horrible about being a...
