Over the years we have been to red devil a number of times. Favorite dish is the Jambalaya made with your choice of pasta.

Food overall is good. However, it's the same dishes and very little options when it comes to variety or "specials". Over the years the taste has become a little less flavorful and feels as if there has been some passion lost. There is good beverage options. Howevwr, don't order the espresso martini.. yuck! It has no espresso and found out it is made with an espresso liquor and not what you expect if you are acustomed to this drink. Too sweet.

Service is also ok to good, depending on which server you get. Some visits our server is nice and the same server is short and unapproachable the next visit. Not consistent. When you arrive, teenage hosts are often at the booth joking around and its clear that they do not have management addressing their behavior while in front of a long line of waiting guests. Because of these factors I scored a little lower for service.

The atmosphere is ok and clean most of the time. The bathroom needs remodeling and free of chemical bottles but that's neither here nor there.

On our last visit, we found that they automatically add a surcharge to the check. When asked about it the manager said "its because of rising minimal wages so we make the customers cover it with the additional charge".... so how is this managed? Until a certain dollar amount? Until payroll is covered for the week? During certain times? Its fishy! Understandably this will impact pricing as the case for all things. However, simply passing it on with an additional charge is just lazy management. Won't be coming back if this is their general practice.

Unfortunately red devil seems to be declining and less to be desired nowadays. We will give them another shot in a couple months and will update this post if anything...

Short Version: Adam and Alexia stood out as exceptional. The food was great. The experience overall was fantastic. Long Version: When we arrived we were told by Adam it would be a 30 minute wait which we were fine with as we had to do a little shopping at Eddie's country store across the street anyway. Less than 15 minutes went by and as we were standing in line to pay for the groceries the buzzer went off to tell us our table was ready so that was nice 👍. Then we got Alexia as our waitress and she is the best! It was the end of the night and the end of her shift but OMG that girl still somehow had more hustle than any server I've ever had in my life!!! She was practically speed walking back and forth from the kitchen. I watched her check on all of her tables multiple times throughout the night but the perfect amount to make sure everyone had everything they needed but not to the point of interrupting their dinner conversations or anything like that. It was really artfully done 🤌. She also knew the menu really well and gave us great recommendations. The food was great, the portions are generous, the pizza was done perfectly, and the prices were very fair/reasonable for the quality and amount of food. I knew Red Devil from when I lived in Lakeside and we've been going here every snowboarding season since we moved but this has been the best experience by far that we've ever had here. The staff at the desk and especially Adam and Alexia were nothing short of fantastic, and their high energy levels, great attitudes, attention to detail, and pride in customer service made for an excellent dinning experience that hit high marks on every level/category from...

We've been there a couple times asked for food to be cooked a certain way on that particular visit... and was met with an attitude that the cook probably wouldn't do it. I was taken back a little bit...but when the food was served it was decent... the sauce was very good.. but not the way I had requested it to be cooked. Decided to go back another time with some friends, asked if the food would be prepared in a certain way ( not asking for anything too special, just asked if they would make something a little extra thin and crispy) and the waiter plainly said that the cook wouldn't do it.🙄 Very surly service throughout our meal and felt like I was being a bother by being a customer. Again the food was decent, but due to the fact that two times I asked for something that really wasn't that difficult to do, and was already told up front that they probably weren't going to do it and then the following time with the unpleasant service, I don't think that will be going back. My friends also said that they really didn't think their food was that good. In the past we've gone there for pizza and that was very good. Maybe if the owners knew that customers really do value more cheerful service and the occasional request to make something a little extra crispy that would make a world of difference.
