Damaged quilt during quilting process.

Brought in a t-shirt quilt for quilting. She had done one before for me with no problem. Was verbally told that she could not guarantee no puckers. No other warning. She was in such a hurry to get the quilt on/off the machine that she quilted one edge on the selvage edge of the backing fabric. She also had edges of the quilt folded on top of itself - I ended up cutting 2inches off around all sides of the quilt to fix this. Thankfully it was a border and not actual tshirts. I had a friend pick up the quilt when it was done - she told friend that she had some trouble, but it was finished. She did not once call me to let me know there was a problem. On first inspection, there were lots of broken threads on back. I thought an inconvenience, but that I would weave them in when I was ready to finish the quilt (I've had to do this on every quilt I have had quilted from her). Later, when I went to finish the quilt, I discovered that threads had broken on top, that there were several sections that didn't have the design quilted, and that there were HOLES in my quilt that hadn't been there when I took the top in for quilting.

I took the quilt back in to show her. There was no apology, no attempt to make it better, and no remorse. She and another lady in the store offered nothing but flimsy excuses. She completely refused to take ownership, blamed my friend (who commissioned the quilt) and me, and lied...

My 9 year-old is home with the public school closures. With the extra time he reminded me of an appliqué dino quilt he’s had his eye on for years. I wasn’t sure how to approach it but thanks to Nana’s help we are set and ready to go. She was very patient with me as I needed her to hold my hand through the whole project. We found everything we needed at the shop and the prices for quality quilting fabric were awesome! She even offered to help me with the binding when I get to that part. I give her a 10 for service! I will always go here before Wal-Mart in the future. I just wish I had visited...
