If you're looking for an amazing place to stay where you'll find incredible personal service, look no further.
I travel to the area 6 times a year for work and I've stayed at most places in the area. I had gotten bad vibes the one time I had stayed with the previous owners. Then about a year ago, I decided I'd try one more time. Luckily for me, that was the first week that Reagen, the new owner, was in charge. I had such a great experience that I decided that this year I was going to stay 3 of the weeks at the Tubac Country Inn. I've enjoyed it so much that my plan next year will be to stay all 6 weeks!
Things keep on getting even better at the Tubac Country Inn. She's constantly looking for new ways to provide amazing service. She gives you her cell phone number so you can call or text her if you have any questions or issues.
An example of the great service is that this year I texted Reagen because I had forgotten the charger for my Apple Watch. I asked if she had one. She didn't, but then she spent over an hour calling/texting to find where I could cheaply buy one or find one that she could borrow on my behalf so I wouldn't have to buy one. She ended up finding someone who had one and said she'd bring it by the next day!
If you haven't stayed at the Tubac Country Inn in more than a year, give it a new shot.
If you give the Tubac Country Inn, and Reagen, a shot, I promise that you will not be...
Read moreThe woman who owns this thought of pretty much EVERYTHING! I would stay here again when visiting Tubac. Teas, coffee, kurig, refrigerator. Southwestern decor. It was a little dusty on the top kitchen shelf. We rented a 2 bedroom, which provided great privacy, other than an open ceiling into the living room from the queen bedroom, which was to disburse the A/C. The lighting on the porch was way too bright, perhaps have more subdued lighting, though the blackout curtains were helpful. This is a dark sky area. It was the night of the Perseid meteor shower, and it would never be possible to see stars here, let alone a meteor shower event. It backs up to a trailer park. If not for GPS, you will not find this in darkness. Signage is minimal. There is a community ice machine. Dishes, glasses, mugs, snacks, bottled water, even filtered water at the sink. There are shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers, some were empty. The tv remotes drove us nuts and we gave up trying to get a station at some point, 2 remotes, no instructions. The landscaping is varied, with...
Read moreOur stay at the Tubac Country Inn was not at all what we'd been lead to expect based on other reviews and their photos. We stayed in the double suite upstairs, and the place was dirty. Not messy, but old stale air and just dirty. The place looked like it was not being kept up with (cobwebs, dust, burnt out or non existent light fixtures, etc), amongst other issues we experienced, the AC went out in our room. We'd contacted the owners, per their guide in the room, and although it was late in the evening, they put up a fight with not only not being able to call repair techs to fix the AC, but they resisted completely in assisting with alternate accommodations. It was the beginning of Sept and the room was sitting at 85F at 9:30pm - hardly acceptable to tolerate and stay in after being in the sun all day. We ended up going to the local resort, on short notice and for less than the cost of one night at this Inn. At the time of staying, the Inn was listed for sale on Zillow for over a year, and it was evident by the owner's failures as to why.
Definitely do...
