We spent the night after having car trouble on the interstate. The room appeared very clean. Our beds and pillows were fresh and comfortable. We had a disability room and the bathroom had a bath seat (portable one) and a low hand held shower which was great. Room service via Dominos was available and we used it. The room had two double beds, a microwave, a larger than usual fridge and freezer, a large television which we never even turned on. There were enough outlets for a laptop, several cell phones and medical equipment. There was a work desk and chair that we used. A good breakfast was available in the lobby which was better than some other chains. Only one of us felt like breakfast. We were unable to park our car outside our room but the staff reassured us of where to park to be covered by the security camera. There is a Roadway Inn practically using the same drive in as Quality Inn so it is a little confusing to some people. Confusing? or just bold and feeling entitled. Visitors at Roadway Inn sometimes cross the parking lot and gobble the breakfast at Quality Inn. My only complaints concerning our room are the place is completely saturated with a hideous cherry scent. It smells like those horrible scented cans of fragrance some people use in their cars. My bed was near the air conditioner (not a problem) and we left the A/C blowing continuously. I found a single cockroach leg on my sheet. No, we never saw a single roach and I suspect this was something that randomly blew in from outside. Last complaint? A staff member approached us in the covered loading area asking us about a broken soap dish? We both wear glasses so of course we don't see well in the shower! I remember a clear plastic soap dish attatched to the hand held shower. If it was broken I would not know. It held my soap just fine. It was a bit of s strange encounter This is a decent hotel in a good location of the interstate. Don't hesitate...
Read moreIf you are picky about appearance, then you may want to look elsewhere. But if cleanliness, comfort and customer service top your list of needs, then look no further. The building is older and beginning to show its age. Occasional worn spots in carpets and scratches in the somewhat dated furnishings are common. But despite the age, it is kept very clean, the beds are comfortable and the fridge is large and cold. And from the front desk to the staff, they know what customer service is all about.I stayed for three days during Hurricane Irma.I would have been happy to have ANY roof over my head. But during my stay I experienced and witnessed extraordinary attention to customer needs. After power was lost the night of the storm, one would never expect the “free breakfast” to be available the next morning. Not so.Although the “hot portion” of the regular meal (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles and coffee) could not be supplied due to the loss of power, guests had their fill of fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, cereals and muffins.Throughout the day, the staff maintained a customer first attitude, making every effort to accommodate storm related needs from early departures to power outage inconveniences. They are truly top notch. As I said, if appearance is your thing, you may give this Quality Inn a lower than average rating. But if you are looking for clean, comfortable, friendly and accommodating, this inn is...
Read moreI’ll start with the front desk staff being most pleasant and helpful. The air conditioning worked and the bed was clean. That was all the quality at the quality inn.|When we entered the room it smelled like mold and mildew. We went to dinner and tried to air out the room. When we returned it was a little better. |We found black mold in the bathtub and bathroom sink. Found some in the walls. No other room available on the 1st floor. The tub was filthy. When we turned on the water rust came out of the pipes and turned the washcloth yellow. Couldn’t stay any longer and checked out at 4 a.m. was told to call the manager on Monday. |Spent all day on Monday trying to reach the manager. First she was on the phone and would call back in 5 minutes. 2nd call a half hour later and she was still on the phone and she would call back when she got off. 3 hours later she had to leave the building for a meeting and might not be back. I then told the girl who answered that if I didn’t get a call back today I was posting pictures on trip advisor. I received a call from the manager within an hour.|She informed me that me that since I did not take a room on the second floor ( no elevator) and was there for at least 8 hours I wasn’t entitled to a refund. The best she could do was 25% discount. This room cost $200. |I was told she would adjust my bill and email me a new invoice. Still haven’t received it. Please see...
