Finding out that they are 10 min from my apartment I knew I had to rush and try them before they start getting more traction. I stopped by Dutch Bros on a Monday morning around 7:20 AM, and to my delight, the line was short--only two cars ahead of me. A rare and beautiful sight for any coffee lover in the morning rush!
I ordered a Small Cold Brew with sugar-free caramel, sugar-free white chocolate, soft top, and a splash of breve (half & half)--a TikTok find that comes in at just 90 calories and under 3g of sugar. Not too shabby for something that tastes like a dream! If you're like me and prefer a bolder coffee flavor, I'd recommend adding extra espresso, as Dutch Bros tends to lean on the sweeter side, sometimes leaving just a whisper of coffee at the end.
I usually rotate between their Horchata Chai or Golden Eagle with oat or almond milk and a soft top, but I love that they offer so many customization options;including sugar-free syrups, protein-infused drinks, and a variety of milk alternatives. Big props to them for catering to different dietary needs!
This was my third Dutch Bros experience (I've visited Orlando locations before), and I'm thrilled they've finally made their way to Gainesville! If you're planning a visit, download their app. I was hoping to use my BOGO reward, but they currently have an opening deal of $3.45 for any medium coffee (an absolute steal, considering their drinks typically run between $6-$10 depending on add-ons). Keep in mind, rewards can't be used with the promo, but honestly, at that price, who's complaining?
Service was quick and the ladies were friendly and knowledgeable. Being a new coffee place I know many people will have many questions and they were so enthusiastic to give recommendations and explain the concept. They sure had an army of people in the back ready to handle the busy rush.
One heads-up: Getting in and out of this location can be a bit of a challenge. Even though I went early, I can see the busy intersection + nearby car wash making it tricky, especially around lunchtime or evening rush. Stay alert and be patient when navigating your exit!
Overall, Dutch Bros Gainesville gets a big thumbs-up from me! Friendly service, delicious drinks, and great customization options. Will I be back?...
Read morei’ve had some good drinks here before, but i’ve also received more than one latte that was so milky it didn’t even look or taste like it had coffee in it. i had this issue today, along with my boyfriend and my friend. we all got golden eagles and all three were basically just cups of half and half. i went back to the pickup window to ask for an extra decaf shot to give my drink more flavor, and the girl at the window did it for me but kept saying that i’d have to pay next time. the only reason this bothers me is because i work at a restaurant that serves a lot of coffee and other drinks, and we almost never charge to fix a customer’s drink if they don’t like it, even if the drink has to be fully remade. i’m not sure why i would have to pay for my drink to be easily fixed when i paid for it in the first place and wasn’t happy with it. i will say, the customers service here is usually great, but i wasn’t really happy with how my complaint was responded to today. the girl at the window recommended other drinks that might be “less milky” and i explained to her that i always get lattes, and they are usually solid, but today mine was much more milky than usual. then she kinda just brushed it off as me being in the mood for a “stronger drink” today. i think they should reevaluate the milk to espresso ratio rather than just telling customers to order different drinks. overall, dutch bros isn’t bad, and the customers service is usually really great, but don’t expect very much consistency with how the...
Read moreDutch Bros Coffee has finally opened a location in Gainesville, and it’s a welcome sight for those of us who have missed it since moving from the Northwest. Dutch Bros locations are still pretty rare in Florida, so having one close to the highway makes it an easy stop during my commute.
The coffee is just as good as I remember. They have a wide variety of drinks, and the staff is friendly. That said, this location is clearly still working through some growing pains. The lines can be long, and it seems like they are a bit understaffed. On my last visit, it took about 15 to 20 minutes to get my drink.
I will definitely go back, but it’s good to know ahead of time that you might wait longer than expected. Hopefully, as they settle in and get more staff trained, the speed will improve. The location is convenient, and it’s great to have Dutch Bros nearby again. If you are planning a stop, just be prepared for a wait during busy times. Overall, I am glad they are here, and I look forward to seeing how they...
