THEY ARE THEIVES AND STOLE OUR $100 SMOKING DEPOSIT BECAUSE THEY FOUND A OLD CIGARETTE BUTT BEHIND A TRASH CAN IN THE BATHROOM, WHICH THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE AS PROOF THERE WAS EVEN A CIGARETTE BUT IN THE BATHROOBLLP. THEY GENERAL MANAGER WAS RUDE, COCKY, VERY DISRESPECTFUL, AND FROM HIS VERBAL IGNORANCE, HE WAS VERY UNEDUCATED. WHEN WE CALLED THEM OUT ON THEIR THEIVERY, THEY THREATENED TO CALL THE POLICE ON US IF WE DIDN'T LEAVE. WHEN WE DID LEAVE THE COWARDLY THEIVES WENT AHEAD AND CALLED THE POLICE ANYWAY. BESIDES OUT RIGHT STEALING $100 FROM US, THE AIR CONDITIONER DID NOT WORK, THE BATHROOM FLOOR & TOILET WAS FILTHY. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, WE WOKE UP WITH NUMEROUS BED BUG BITS ALL OVER US AND WE ALSO FOUND A LARGE AMOUNT OF DEAD BEDS ALL ALONG THE CREASES AS WELL AS IN THE SIDES OF THE CHAIR CUSHION. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SUPER 8 TO BOARD YOUR DOG, MUCH LESS ANYONE U CARE ABOUT. THE EXTREMELY HEAVY SET GENERAL MANAGER RUFUSED TO GIVE US HIS BOSSES CONTACT INFORMATION OR THE SUPER 8 CORPORATE OFFICES. GOOD THING GOOGLE ISN'T AS IGNORANT & DISRESPECTFUL BECAUSE WE FOUND THEIR CONTACT INFO WITHIN ONLY A FEW MINUTES AND WILL BE FOLLOWING THREW IN REGARDS TO THE OUT RIGHT THEFT OF OUR $100, LIKE ASAP. THEY WILL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS, 1 WAY OR ANOTHER. HOPE THEY ARE STILL LAUGHING, LIKE THEY WAS AT US WHEN WE BROUGHT ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED ISSUES TO THEIR ATTENTION.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES A HUGE AMOUNT OF TROUBLES AND BUG BITES AND DO NOT STAY AT THE THEIVING SUPER 8 MOTEL IN GAS CITY, INDIANA.
I AM ENCLOSING PICS OF THE WORST GENERAL MANAGER ON THE PLANET'S...
Read moreStayed here roughly 4-5 years ago while visiting family, and it was a pretty good stay. We figured we would book here again because they had the best prices in town, and if it was anything like last time, it would be a good deal. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming, but everything else was terrible. Our room was gross. Stains all over the floor, not stained as in leftover color from a mess, visible filth all over the carpet. The walls were also plastered in grime and dirt. Our room came with no fridge. I went to go take my toddler to the bathroom, and it reaked of vomit. That was the last straw. My husband asked to get us moved into a different room, and the lady had no problem putting us in the available room next to ours. This room did have a fridge, but it smelled fishy, and the cleanliness was at the same level (if not worse). We figured we would just deal with it at that point. We were only staying one night and didn't want to seem nit-picky asking for another room to probably wind up with something strikingly similar to the last two rooms. When I opened the window to air out the room, our screen was all knocked out on the bottom. It was super concerning as we were traveling with a 1 1/2 and 3 year old and our dog. The safest option was to lock the window and deal with the smell. Well. The window's lock was broken. It really was just one thing after another. After a long day of traveling, especially with two small kids and a dog, that's the last thing you want to do. Splurge the extra few dollars a night and stay down the street, I know that's what we...
Read moreI had the pleasure of staying here during a recent trip to Marion for faculty meetings from 4/25-4/28. I must say, I am not typically a customer of the Super8 chain of hotels, and would've opted for something newer had this not been a business trip. Though I was underwhelmed with the decor and furnishings, I was overwhelmed with the hospitality of the staff. Every staff member on every shift was just amazing. They made every effort to accommodate my requests. There were a few things that I thought would be great to know before traveling: -If you are staying on the second floor there are no elevators -They are a pet-friendly hotel, so not idea for folks with allergies -Speaking of allergies, it is an older hotel -There is no iron or ironing board in the room (which I guess is not a problem for most) -As a woman traveling, I would want to know that this hotel is frequented by truckers. My father was a trucker so I have a lot of respect for this bunch, but still need to be aware of your surroundings. -There is no continental breakfast.
Overall, it was a clean, quaint room without all the bells and whistle, and suited my needs. I did not pay for this, so can not speak to the price. Would I stay again?- not by choice, but it doesn't mean it isn't a good choice for the right person! And every one of those front desk staff needs a raise! They are...
