The positives were we had a comfy bed, clean room and helpful friendly hardworking staff. Good heater/air con unit and fairly spacious room with small kitchenette and sofa area. ||Unfortunately this place just didn’t meet the standard for us and it felt a little over priced. The first thing I noticed when we arrived at reception and in our room was the unpleasant old bacon fat smell from the breakfast room/kitchen. It was worse in the morning when they were cooking. We went to breakfast at about 645 Am. There was a bacon smog, but no bacon appeared. The waffle batter came out separated, and there was supposed to be French toast but that didn’t appear either. We tried some coffee, that was not good. With the smog, smell and lack of food we gave up. ||The hotel provided one wafer thin soap and two tiny sachets of shampoo (smaller than a ketchup sachet). The towels were small and worn. The toilet paper was so thin it felt like it melted when used. The shower was difficult to turn on, and the water wasn’t hot. Our room was adjacent to a busy street and on the ground floor. We had a disturbed afternoon and early evening as it was super noisy outside (traffic) and we could hear other rooms air con units. Thankfully it did quieten as it got later but overall everything just lead to an uncomfortable...

The people we talked to were friendly and helpful, but when we needed to speak with the desk clerk, we had to track him down away from the front desk. The rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. We had a suite type room with a seating area, kitchenette and queen bed. In the morning we went down for breakfast and found nearly everything was gone - there was one slice of French toast, no scrambled eggs, no meat, no cereal bowls…. Someone mentioned how empty everything was and about 5 minutes later the desk person came out with some French toast and another maybe ten minutes later someone brought some scrambled eggs. There was some bread (to toast), and there were packets of oatmeal but nothing to make them in, and waffles could be made but there was quite a line since that was basically all there was. The coffee was very very strong and even with cream, it just wasn’t good. We appreciate when breakfast is offered because it’s helpful to get going in the morning, but this was disappointing. We left and went to a...
