I used to go here alot with my grandpa and brothers at breakfast time but I have tried breakfast lunch and dinner here. All very good.I highly recommend the cheese burger, the omelets, and the sandwiches. I've also had the spaghetti which is good too. For those colder days they have soup and the chile is very good. This place is definitely the place to be around breakfast and lunch if your looking for a nice home style type meal this is definitely worth a try. They have a salad bar and some meals allow you to change the side. They got fries onion rings and potato chips. The meals have slightly increased in price since I was younger but isn't everything getting more expensive nowadays? I have never had an undercooked meal here. Sometimes the meal comes out pretty warm and the waitresses would say careful it's still kinda hot. I assume they still warn you. The service is normally a friendly bunch and for that reason the speed at which you get your meal can fluctuate but it's pretty fast to say the least. You must remember this is a dine in restaurant so it can take an extra couple minutes. While you are waiting take a look at some of the neat antiques. It's normally clean I've noticed a couple times the establishment was a little on the dirty side but yet not the worst I've seen compared to some of the bigger cooperation type fast food joints. I do notice they seem to have a little trouble with one of the bathrooms but I read they have two which I actually didn't know till I was looking through the reviews. They have a bar in the back and I don't know what types of beer they have. I do believe beverages in general cannot be refilled without paying for it anymore. The staff remembers people who come in very often and they will talk with known customers which is one thing that keeps this restaurant up and running. Regardless this is a great place to get something to eat and if your looking into eating here it's worth noting the parking can be quite limited sometimes so get a spot while you can. Luckily I can just walk if I want to eat here. Appreciate the years of service you...
Read moreYou might want to talk to your waitresses staff on what is Socially acceptable to say and what is not socially to say . I was there not even 15 minutes ago tiday we had our lunch I guess it was Mediocre at best my mom payed for our lunch. And she continues to talk to my mom. She then says to her is that your son meaning me and says I know of this cream that will help with his acne . Well I was so embarrassed that the women who took my mom' payment would even talk to her about it. Second it is not acne it is a skin condition and I was standing right there as if I was invisible. This is not the first time that I waitresses has had a rude and socially awkward conversation. I will not return to your restaurant and I will tell people you better have clear skin or she will give ignorant comments about people's skin . don't assume something that you don't know...
Read moreI love a good meatloaf. Unfortunately, they don’t have that here. The salad bar was a joke. It is literally lettuce, onions, and salad dressing. That’s it nothing else to go with the lettuce. The meatloaf was more chunks of bread than meat. The first bite I knew something was wrong because the texture Was gooey. I broke it apart, and it is chunks of bread with some meat and as if that weren’t bad enough, it wasn’t even cooked all the way through. I travel about 2500 miles a month over Nebraska and Iowa and this is hands-down the worst food I’ve had in all of Nebraska and Iowa. The waitress saw the plate of uneaten food pushed to the side and asked if everything was OK. I commented on the meatloaf, showed her what I meant, the uncooked dish, and she said “oh sorry” and handed me a...
