Me and my spouse checked in on Saturday March 30th for one night as we booked a king room with a courtyard view. The two employees (did not get his or her name) put us in room #125 facing a parking lot. They told me that it was booked that way! Ohh really I asked? As I showed them the booking information that said king room with Courtyard view! They said all three courtyard view room where sold out! Oh first lie, as they did get the reservation correct after all! Humm that's lie #1 Ok so we checked Into room 125 and noticed that the AC/Heater was not working, called the front desk and they said a Houseman would come and fix that, which he did about 30min later. Later that evening the heater came on and it sounded like a freight train engine! I called the front desk asking for a room move due to the noise and was told the hotel was "sold out!" Here comes lie #2. After I was told the hotel was sold out I called the hotel on my cell phone asking if I could make a reservation and the price please? The same person I talked to that said the hotel was sold out, said yes we have rooms available and quoted me the price! The employees could basically care less about our stay and after reading reviews it's definitely not the first! ALL employees at this location and I'm sure management as well need to take a class about being honest! And how to treat the guest staying at the property.! They clearly do not know how to do that AT ALL. After the next door neighbors came over asking what the noise was and letting them know it was the AC unit but it could not be fixed. I turned it off and we left the hotel to a much nicer hotel in the area that was quiet and peaceful with employees that actually care! You could not pay me to stay at this location. A copy of this has been sent to the corporate office in Arizona asking for a full refund at the expense of "this property' not the booking agent!..

The "owners" response is lie #3 as owners do not respond to reviews. Lie #4 is there was one (1) reservation just talked to travel company. Lie #5 AGAIN the owner says the hotel was sold out of that type of room but if you read above after calling myself a courtyard room was available and the price was quoted! So now maybe the "owner" that responds need to take classes on customer service and honesty as well!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY THEY...

This is a zero review for the manager hospitality wich means a friendly and generous reception and zero for her empathy and problem solving thinking. I made a big mistake on my part doing a booking for the prior day of my arrival and realizing at the moment of check in. Sadly the third party operator couldn't issue back anything since it needed the hotel approval. When I explained to the manager that I didn't realized of my mistake, she explained to me that they couldn't approved a refund or honor anything since I had a non refundable reservation and on their system we were as check out the night before. She also explained that the third party charged them, so I was willing to accept for those charges it. But she wouldn't offer any help or anything to try to meet us on the middle because no shows always happens and that's my risk on taking non refundable offers. But she will glady help us to book again or I should do it online. Of course next time I will triple check the dates of my reservation but if they really wanted they could offered a solution and not be as greedy and take the money with no services offered. I hope it never happens to her

Edited* your apologies are not sincere, when I took a closer look your reviews I noticed a lot of cases where there wasn't any help for different circustances. Your answer is a total copy paste so I don't believe any willingness for improving you service and hospitability. I wouldn't go back nor recommend this place. Things happens and dealing with your customer service what's worst than dealing with a robot. I guess AI would manage things better. The fact that is at hotel with an "accesible" price gives you empowerement to be so closed minded for real life issues and make some money (given the chance) screwing customers it's a common...

I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The location is decent; easy to get to from the freeway, and there are plenty of stores, restaurants, grocery etc in the surrounding area. The pros are definitely that parking was free and that they include breakfast, which starts at 7am.

I also noticed a lot of construction workers stay here. It would be nice if they started breakfast earlier, like maybe 6am or 6:30am. The 2 mornings I was here, the breakfast area does fill up and there is no where to sit inside. They do have some tables outside or you could just take it back to your room to eat. They had different breakfast items every day and had a chalkboard listing what items they'd have. They even had one of those automatic pancake makers where you could watch your pancake being made. I actually didn't think the pancake was very good.. lol. The mini quiche were good and I just stuck with the English muffins and cream cheese.

I did notice that they did not allow pets/dogs at this Best Western; most of them do. So if you are looking to stay here with your dog, note that the hotel right next to this Best Western does allow dogs. Anyway, I had a room all the way in the back with 2 queen beds. The room had everything I needed, like a small desk, towels, a small Keurig machine etc.

Overall I found the bed was uncomfortable as were the pillows. I should have brought my own pillow lol. Also the morning that I was checking out, one of the housekeepers knocked on my door around 745am and I told her that I hadn't checked out yet. She said it was OK. They also leave their carts in the middle and made it hard to get around them to get back to my room. I just thought that was a little weird and they could have coordinated better on when guests checked out rather than going room to...

It's the second time we have stayed there because it is conveniently located near UCSB. So for us, it's only a place to sleep when we visit our daughter. With that said, the first time we were there we had to change rooms because the lock was broken and we would end up locked out of our room. This time around we had to change rooms 3 times the same night. The first room had no wifi signal (and I had to do some work). They moved us to a second room that reeked of cigarette smoke, and the third room smelled like sewage (most likely a p-trap issue, God knows). At this point however we were just too tired to complain. Some spiders kept us company and the shower ... Well the pictures speak for themselves. The beds are clean and comfortable at least. Room cleaning is on demand. Quite noisy as it sits right across 101 (but you can't hear the noise from inside the room - windows don't open and you have to keep the curtains closed on the ground floor as it is a motel-like setup). It is however one of the most affordable accommodations in the area. Breakfast is included but don't get your hopes too high. I wish I had something more positive to say.

As soon as I arrived I felt discriminated against. I was asked to stand behind a partition that the last guest was not asked to stand behind. The lady was very unpleasant and sarcastic. She then continued to go over all the negative restrictions and didn’t highlight any amenities. I was intimidated and continued to received a lecture. Wanting to give another chance, we proceeded to the room which was not as clean as you’d think with all the extreme restrictions; I am now thinking negatively and take a closer look: I find it extremely disturbing that the toilet roll was not changed out, just nicely folded from the last guest. It had smelled like someone just used the bathroom; the bathroom fan was also on. The “clean” remote was in a dirty holder. The rough towels smelled like chlorine and when I asked for extra at check in, since there’s no housekeeping offered, I was questioned on if I was sure I needed more towels since the room had four and I was staying two nights with my boyfriend. My experience is horrible so far and I have two nights!

We haven't stayed here for 5 years, and it is not like it wad. Upon check on the 1st of Jan 2025 our rooms were dirty, smelled like party rooms, the suite was filthy, toilets were stained on sides from old dried urine, rug between the couches was rolled up and dirty, the couches were sticky on the arms, food in couches and on the floors of both rooms, definitely was not expected. Having a sister who has Cerebral Palsy the shower in the accessible room is not at all a roll in. We made our reservations early on was not last minute. The only accommodation was the connection of rooms, but between the doors there was old food parts between the doors. And the front desk was not at all professional or professional looking. Extremely rude once I questioned the rooms. Horrible customer service. And they are still trying to charge me even though we left and had to try and find another vacancy elsewhere. Attached are pictures of both rooms and how nasty and worn down the rooms were. I would advise going elsewhere even if you, like myself, have BW rewards.
