Meun Fan Thai Café — Restaurant in Goleta

One of the worst dinning experiences I have had.

When we arrived the only bathroom was closed for cleaning, and was still closed for cleaning when we finished our meal an hour later. So my partner never got to pee and we were unable to wash our hands before eating.

Our server (a job I did for many years) seems annoyed every time we called her over to refill water or do any of the other things that are her responsibilities. She was eating in plain sight throughout our time there, and not washing her hands in between. When asked if they could put chicken on the side for one of our orders since someone at our table was vegetarian, she said they don't do that. We had to order with chicken or vegetarian.

The food was horrible, and we love Thai food and have been to Thailand. There are much better options in town than this restaurant, if you can...

We came on christmas eve and since a lot of other places were closed this one was packed with people. We didn’t get seated or noticed for a good couple minutes. Workers seemed rushed and not used to having this many people. When dishes came out they were overly salty and super small. You got 2-3 small scoops of noodles and the plate was just veggies from there. We think they made dishes smaller because they didn’t have enough because of the crowd. I understand lessening it a bit but there were like 5 pieces of chicken and a handful of noodles. 5 dishes later we debated ordering another plate but decided against it because of the price and the amount. 3 stars because the bathroom is clean and the food is good if you don’t mind...

Pad Thai and wonton cheese wrap for appetizers met up to my husband's standard. My Bangkok noodles were great and very flavorful while my Wonton soup for takeout was tasteless. I ordered wonton soup for dinner because of the cold weather. However, as soon as I saw an advertised Bangkok noodle soup picture on the table next to us, I decided to save Wonton soup for my next day's breakfast to try that Bangkok noodle bowl.
