Hello,
My daughter and I visited to see my grandson and also to show her a good time for her Spring break vacation. I chose to stay at the Hyatt because I read the reviews and it seemed like a good fit for our trip. We checked in on 3/26 and checked out on 3/29. I must say the front desk staff was very pleasant. The issues I had with our stay are below: On 3/26 I noticed the room smelled of bad carpet along with stains in the carpet and the toilet knob was not only hard to flush but when flushed it flushed continuously creating an unpleasant noise throughout the night. The next morning (3/27)it seemed to be working properly. After we left for the day to return later that evening, the problem reoccurred. I notified the front desk, the solution was to move to another room. My daughter and I along with my grandson had to remove all our belongings to another room late night and we were exhausted from being out all day. It was nice it was on the same floor but this was not an expectation I had in mind of our short vacation. Just as I thought we were done moving, the next morning (3/28) my daughter notified me the shower water was cold and we had no hot water. I called the front desk and let them know and they said they would let the maintenance guy know. An hour later, I called back to remind them and they sent maintenance right away this time. The maintenance guy took the shower apart and suggested we can keep the same room but it will take 2 hours to fix and he would find us another room to use the bathroom for the meantime. I think he could pick up I wasn’t feeling this and he suggested to move us to another room. At this point, I agreed to stay in the same room while he find us a room to shower in. He left and returned half an hour later and said we can move to another room on another floor this time. Now this is our third move. He did bring us a cart to transfer our belongings. I had an early appointment for my grandson to take pics that was missed due to this issue. This room had a functioning toilet and shower this time but missing a shower hook that caused water leaking on the floor while we showered and a non working light in the desk area. Also, earlier this day my daughter had breakfast and possibly got food poisoning from the ham because she was very nauseous, upset stomach along with minimal vomiting. I also saw a restaurant on the website, to find out it’s currently under construction.
I’m usually one to not complain unless necessary and I honestly feel this is that situation because again this was not expected of our short vacation trip. I always believe in second chances and believe any situation can be turned around and this is why I’m reaching out for a solution. It’s been over a week since I reported these issues and nothing has been solved at this point. I’m constantly being told by customer service that the hotel has not...
Read moreI was speaking to the general manager(Evan) of this location about all of these issues and i said i wasn’t going to leave a google review, but then he decided to offer compensation and then after i sent the receipt he never replied...so i am not keeping this to myself. Also in addition to all of these issues, it just went thru on my bank account like 5 minutes ago and we paid Sunday morning(three days ago) at check out, so i wasn’t expecting it and it made our account negative, so instead of compensation for an awful stay, we have a negative bank account, thanks Evan...i will also be calling corporate tomorrow. Here are the other issues......
We killed at least five silverfish bugs in our room, which means there were probably a ton more. We called down and spoke to “Charles” about getting a microwave in our room and he told us that it wasn’t possible, we called twice, first time he said he would look, second time he said it wasn’t possible, we had a problem with this because when i went downstairs to make what i needed to make in the lobby microwave, a different worker asked me “would you like me to have a microwave sent to your room instead?”and she had one sent..so Charles lied. I also asked him about getting a rollaway bed in our room because we had our kids with us and there wasn’t enough bed room, and he said that they weren’t available, which makes me question if he was lying about that too....Charles just seems lazy and rude. Me and my daughter ended up sleeping on the pullout sofa, just FYI, it’s like sleeping on a bed of knives, i am not even joking, the springs were literally stabbing me and my daughter in the back all night, no cushion, zero.My two year old daughter couldn’t even stay asleep on it which kept everyone else awake half the night, and toddlers can usually sleep on anything. She has never had that much trouble sleeping. Some of the plugs didn’t work The shampoo and conditioner bottles were only half full and had been opened. Gross We all had breakfast there and a few hours later...we all had diarrhea...it was awful. Now i know i sound like i am complaining a lot, but this was truly a terrible experience, we stay in hotels often, and i can honestly say this is the worst hotel experience we have ever had. I think i am mainly upset because it was all for My sons birthday weekend, we stayed there so we would be close to epic waters indoor water park, but he slept awful and then had diarrhea half the time he was at the water park. I felt terrible because i am the one who...
Read moreThis was the most disappointing, uncomfortable and disgusting experience at a hotel that I’ve ever had. We were in town for a graduation and ended up settling on the Hyatt because we didn’t have many options. The pictures of the room looked nice online, so I thought I’d give it a shot. Worst mistake ever! Our room smelled stuffy, the walls were gross with stains and the floor was nasty. We kept our socks on. I threw several pairs away while we were there and we only stayed two nights. I could barely sleep at night because I was so uncomfortable. They have tons of blankets layering the beds, but only a thin sheet and blanket on the top. There is no room service, so don’t even ask. Apparently, they only have room service every 4 days. You have to request it in advance. If you’re only staying for a short period of time, you’re out of luck. It would’ve been nice to have known this information prior to booking. Someone pulled on our doorknob the very first night while we were sleeping and ran off. It could have been kids playing around, but it was still very alarming seeing as though we had 3 small children with us. I guess I should’ve expected nothing less when we pulled up earlier that evening and saw two men hanging out in front of the hotel drinking and smoking cigars like they were in their very own backyards. We attempted to enjoy the complimentary breakfast the next morning, but to our disappointment that was a disaster. The waffles were cold and hard. The eggs were literally crumbled and the ham was very, thin-sliced, pieces of meat that looked like sandwich meat. I wasn’t expecting anything grand, but McDonald’s has better breakfast than they do. We just ended up leaving and getting breakfast somewhere else. I was so upset because I was looking forward to enjoying our stay and spending more time in our room. We actually avoided going back to the hotel because it was so repulsive. Checkout time was noon. We checked out at 7am. Just couldn’t stand it any longer. Do yourselves a favor and don’t waste your time or...
