This was a nice hotel in Arlington TX, we stayed here for a couple of days while visiting Dallas. The staff is very friendly and helpful when letting us know what was around, all of the amenities we could enjoy while staying there and very personable which made it a pleasant place to stay. It was also centrally located so we weren't too far from any one place which was good. We were able to go to any town quickly and we even made the short drive down to Waco one day we were there. They have a great lobby, lots of nice places to sit or if you have to work too. They had plenty of sitting areas, games to play, snacks and a microwave in there to encourage hanging out. They had connect 4 on the table to play which was a fun touch. The hanging chairs was my favorite sitting area, so cute! The room was nice and clean. 2 comforable, clean beds and a nice bathroom, along with small fridge, desk, hair dryer, ironing board, chair to sit in and a nice big window for lots of light. There isn't carpet in the room which is nice , but the floor was a little sticky, kind of a film on there. I assumed it was from extra soap when mopping or something, not like a dirty film so that wasn't as bad. The breakfast bar was great - pancakes to order, oatmeal, cereal, apples, bagels, English muffins, eggs, sausage, yogurt, Granola, milk and any topping you'd want for those things - raisins, brown sugar, cranberries, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, syrup, peanut butter, cream cheese... they had so many choices it was great! We enjoyed going down for breakfast, the staff was so sweet and helpful, comfy place to hang out and just get the day started!

Yeesh. I decided to stay here because I had a team playing in a tournament in Arlington. So my organization booked rooms for all of my athletes and myself so we would be in close proximity to our tournament. We arrive and the entire exterior of the hotel is nothing but scaffolds and tarps. When booking the hotel no one said anything about renovations or whatever it was they were doing. The lobby smelled heavily of marijuana. Each of the hotel rooms smelled like burning plastic from the tarps over the windows baking in the sunshine all day. One room, however, did not smell like burning plastic. It was reeking of cigarette smoke. Now, it wasn't just a light cigarette smell, like maybe one of the workers had lit up outside and it just leaked in. No. It smelled like a whole family had been puffing on Camels all morning long before they finally ran out of packs. The front desk clerk was nice enough to let us change rooms and into the lovely aroma of burning plastic and out of the haze of cigarette smoke. The floors were sticky and seemed unclean. The base of the showers had mold growing. It overall was not a pleasant experience. The beds were comfy enough, I guess. However I will never stay at this location again.

I wasn’t expecting a lot from a 2-star hotel, and overall, it was okay for the price—but there were some issues. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, which we weren’t told about ahead of time. The first room had bugs around the window and even on the bed (photos attached). I assume they got in because of the construction, but it was still off-putting. Fortunately, staff moved us to another room quickly and apologized. Both rooms had somewhat dirty floors, likely due to workers cleaning or working on the AC systems when we arrived. Renovations weren’t a dealbreaker for me, but heavy machinery in the parking lot made using the main entrance a little awkward. It felt like we were in the middle of their work zone. That said, the hotel is in a great location near the events I came for, and it's a good value. Breakfast was the standard Hilton offering, basic but dependable. If you're booking soon, it’s worth calling ahead to ask about construction if that is a deal breaker for you.

I want to start out by saying, that I would give this hotel 5 stars in a heartbeat if it was not for the VERY RUDE staff member checking people in. We were in town for a concert yesterday on 8-22-2022. We got to hotel about 20 min before 3 in the afternoon. I had called the hotel prior to us getting there and asked if we could check in about 20 min early, because we had to be at the concert venue at 3, I was told yes that would be fine. So we got there about 2:35 and the young lady ( not sure of her name, but she was Indian i believe) that was working the front desk already just looked mad when me and my husband walked up. I told her who I was and that I had called about checking in a few minutes early and was told it was fine. She abruptly cut me off and said there were no rooms available and we would have to wait the 25 min untill 3. I told her again that I had already called and was told I could check in a few min early. She then got very rude and said, I would just have to wait. I explained to her why we needed to check in and that I had talked to someone and she literally slammed her pen down and said " I guess I will go see the list and see if a room is ready, do you think you can wait that long?" She said that very rude and sarcastic. I told her yes. She came back 2 MINUTES later and said "I got you a room" she then pulled up the payment info and I paid and she then slammed the key card on the counter and turned away. She didn't say thank you or say where our room was located or anything! This is very unacceptable behavior. I have NEVER been treated so rude at a hotel ever. As far as the rest of our stay, it was great! The room was very clean, modern and everything worked in the room. The bed and pillows were VERY comfortable. Everything was perfect with the hotel room EXCEPT for the girl that checked us in. I would love to give this hotel 5 stars if it wasn't for her and her...

My mother and I stayed here for one night and it was TRUly a pleasurable stay! Upon arrival, we were handed a bag with two waters and a Chex Mix bag for a snack. Checking in was hassle free and the woman at the front desk provided a welcoming interaction. Once we entered the room, it was nice and cool. The restroom were nice and well lit. Rather than providing the small hygienic amenities many hotels provide, Tru provides an unlimited supply of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and even lotion by the containers connected to the walls in the restroom. The bed was nice and comfortable and the floor was quiet throughout our stay. While there is a fridge to store drinks and food in, it didn't stay closed, which is why this rating is four stars as opposed to five. There is also no microwave in the room, BUT there is a clean one in the lobby with a nice eating area, so this was no issue for us. While other hotel gyms are closed due to the pandemic, we were able to schedule an appointment to use the gym during our stay. It was clean and had a variety of workout equipment. Some even looked brand new! There is even a screen loaded with videos that you can workout with. All in all, we would DEFINITELY stay at Tru again and look forward to...
