Sunrise Village Condos — Hotel in Gulf Shores

The location is great. Stayed there for a few months over the winter. Steps away from the beach. Could see the water and the beach from the kitchen window. Short drive to the main beach and to Rouses and Walmart for shopping. Also a short drive to Bohenhamer Rec Center which is a wonderful place ( we joined on a monthly basis). Also easy to get to Foley, Orange Beach and Fort Morgan. We rented the condo directly from Gulf Shores Rentals. We had some issues and they were prompt at solving our issues. The negatives would be he beds-- very uncomfortable and the bottom bunk squeaks badly . Not sure how comfortable the top bunk is as we never went up there. Also the floor is tile with grout, and I could never get it clean. My socks were always dirty despite mopping it almost daily. Appliances worked well. Kitchen was adequately stocked with dishes and pots and pans. A small complaint was... When we first got into the condo there were only two hangars total. We bought 24. Hopefully they'll be there...

I loved that this condo is right on the beach. However I do not recommend staying in 109! It looked nice in the photos, but the shower/tub combo was very outdated and there was lots of rust on the shower head and the air-conditioning vent in bathroom. There was also a good deal of mold! The beds (even with the new mattress toppers) were not very comfortable. And be prepared to walk into a hot condo (77 degrees) that hasn't been thoroughly cleaned. Yea steer clear...

Staying here was generally a pleasant experience. It is right on the beach which is so nice. There are showers right before coming back up to the rooms to keep sand on the beach! The pool is nice but very small. The rooms are also very small. Much smaller than they looked in the pictures. But overall the interior is pretty nice. They however did not provide toilet paper or garbage bags. Thankfully Wal-Mart was near by. It is close to all of the...
