Do NOT rent this unit. BLACK MOLD throughout the ceiling (painted over), rusty outdoor furniture, dirty/stained indoor furniture, broken cabinet doors, boards with nails sticking out of them on the floor, broken front door frame, beds barely held together, cigarette burns on the sinks, bugs in the lights/medicine cabinet, no general cleaning supplies in the unit, no blankets on the beds, broken clothes drawers, glass doors don’t open without a LOT of effort, the bedroom door handle broke when we tried to open it, the living room door will lock you out unless someone else is inside to let you back in, the kitchen fits one person in it, the kitchen table looks like it’s been run through the cartel drug dealing operation. It’s gross. It’s all gross. The pool guy was aggressive and smoked more cigarettes than a tobacco factory, the carts to bring our stuff up were broken, like Walmart has better carts on a bad day than this place, the rug in the living room was worse than a rug in a crack house, DISGUSTING. We walked around with our shoes on like we were in jail. The pans in the kitchen have to be held at an angle to cook because the handles are warped. The tvs are about 24”, give or take, the remote to the living room only works if you smack it…and make a wish. The worst waste of money we have ever spent. OH, the elevator inspection also expired while we were there (by a FEW days.) The Vacasa rep walked in our unit WITHOUT knocking to give us our parking passes. We asked for early check in, which wasn’t available for this company, fine, however, we arrived 45 minutes AFTER designated check in time and were still not allowed in. I have never been so embarrassed, disgusted and mad for wasting so much money on a less than sub par unit. EVER. Idk who owns this place but the pictures are VERY deceiving, very filtered. The good news is, it has an ice maker and the...
Read moreThe beach access, close proximity to amenities & attractions, and airport is a plus for the Gulf Village Condominium 1027 W Beach Blvd, Gulf Shores, AL 36542. The facility itself is an older building and has been through some storms. I was a little worried when I saw the entry door hoping the inside would be much better. It was a clean unit but hadn’t seen a deep cleaning in a long time. The couch was broken down and poor quality. The bed mattresses were also broken down and sank in the middle. They were extremely squeaky. The main slider door was broken and difficult to lock so we chose to only use the bedroom sliding door. The toilet was missing a handle and was only a rod. Fortunately it only took a day and they fixed it. The kitchen had many good options for cooking with. The dishwasher was not secured in its place and would rock forward when opened. The washer and dryer was a much appreciated item. The patio furniture was nice and of good quality. The pool wasn’t clean. Tenants that were there said the bigger units on the end were nice but also lacked when it came to the bed mattresses. If you are looking for higher quality and newer built place, this isn’t it. Be careful with unit 114, it will be a...
Read moreWe stayed in room 101. The room itself is fantastic for the price. It was clean when we arrived and very cute. However, Meyer wasn’t that great. We were given 5 towels/wash rags for four people staying 5 days. The unit doesn’t have a washer/dryer. When I contacted Meyer I was told that we would have to use the coin laundry to wash our towels if we needed to. 1. Who wants to sit at coin laundry while on vacation. 2. We didn’t have “coins” or laundry detergent as we weren’t told we would need them. The unit also doesn’t have a dishwasher. The complementary welcome bag had dishwasher detergent. 🙄 we had to make a trip to the store to buy dish liquid so we could wash the dishes. This might seem trivial to some but seriously, it was so...
